Alrighty, so here's my new keyboard. I didn't pick it, and I don't like it, but it's all I have right now. The problem is that there's a few buttons with three things on them.

Like this:

I am a keyboard noob, I don't know how to hit those higher functions. I have no idea how to take screenshots anymore.
Someone please help.

brand and model # off the keyboard so i can to tell you the exact keys to hit? with some multi function keypads (think laptops as the most common) there is a "FN" key and additional markings on keys around the board for example on the laptop i am on right now if i hold the "FN" key and press"END" it is mutes my speakers or if hold the FN key and press insert it takes a screen shot, some desktop have an "Flock" key or something of the like that has this same functionality.

You just hold down the "Ctrl" button and hit them to use the alternate function on white-lettered keys like that...

Well, I found a button called "F lock."

All it did was make the F light turn off on the wireless receiver. However, it did make the screenshot button work for some reason. <______________________<

Thanks a ton, Eppy.
Doesn't mean I'll hate this keyboard any less. The last one was awesome. A simple button; no "F lock" bull****.

minor differences, a lot of Microsoft branded keyboard run on the flock function while a lot of fellows (and i think dells too???) have the ctrl key do the same thing. just more ways to complicate the lives of the world.

*EDIT* OH my bad, just noticed the link to the full size image of the keyboard......

If you want a simple keyboard I'll trade you mine. It also predates the f-lock button. The only problems I have with it are the "o" button is insignificantly sticky and it's wired.

i use an older fellows full wireless that just works. love it. no f lock, dont have to do the ctrl + combos, just works, best $20 i ever spent.

the cut and paste keys are pre programed to hotkeys on the side of the keyboard so i dont even have to mess with the ctrl+c or the ctrl+v finger acrobatics.

Thank God you finished that. I was beginning to wonder how you brought up the task manager.

I WAS COMPLETELY UNAWARE [/sarcasm]

But the f-lock thing is incredibly ridiculous.
I realized I need it off to screenshot, but on to use F5.

<_< Insanity, I tell you.
