Anyone got this error? See the problem isnt that this is just an error. It doesnt halt any processes or anything...the problem is is that this is a voice error. So constantly, without stop, this annoying obnoxiously loud female voice says "SYSTEM FAILED CPU TEST!!!!" over and over and over and over and over, and its impossible to listen to any kind of audio. I figured my hard drive is old, I need a new one. Everything else is updated but my hard drive. For a while now my computer has been freezing up completely, then refusing to fully log back onto my computer. It will do an IDE (I think thats the name) test, and not find anything, so I will have to restart till it finds them and goes on. Then it will start to load the computer but freeze. When I finally get onto my computer after many restarts, it freezes. Soon enough I do get back on and stay on for a long period of time, but eventually it freezes, and all this goes on again. I have no idea how to fix it, there is no option or anything to turn on or off in the BIOS, and holy crap I want some audio.

If ithis voice thing happens in Windows, maybe some sort of Malware. If this voice happens to come up while booting, some Mainboards have a "Voice POST" feature.
The random freezing could be caused by a defective component, memory, mainboard, cpu, or maybe a faulty addon card or even (again) Malware.

I would like to see some more Information, so you can better locate the problem.

Yeah, the voice sounds more like Malware or a virus. As far as I know, Windows doesn't report errors verbally.

As Kaiser was saying - it could be the Voice POST. My ASUS motherboard used to say things like that - instead of the beeps. If there was an error it would tell you what it was (based on what it can tell).

Things like "Mouse/Keyboard Not Detected" "CPU Overheating - Shutting down." etc etc

So its possible it isnt Malware and really is the MoBo.

Maybe, but he didn't clarify whether it was during/after boot or while he was in windows. If it was during boot then it was probably Voice POST, but in windows I would guess malware. Fuzzle, if it happens when you're in windows, try running virus and spyware scans to check for any viruses or spyware you might have accidentally picked up.

As I said before about the POST voice thing-- also if anything happened to the computer while it was on it would still give warnings even if Windows was running.

Either way- we need more info...

Ah, okay. The voice happens during windows, there is no voice error during start up, even tho there is some freezing which I think is my old outdated hard drive. The voice used to be a rare thing which I was able to fix by f-disking or unplugging some parts of my computer and reattaching them. That worked for a while, but slowly started being more frequent till its just constant no matter what I do. It slows down when im not doing anything like scrolling down a page or watching a video, but once I do something like that, the voice is up with a vengeance. I've ran a virus scan with no results, and a spyware scan with no turn out. I was hoping a new hard drive might solve the problem.

Im not too sure what you mean by OC and I don't think my computer is overheating. I have 4 fans, and not too much going on...I know it isn't over heating because my computer is next to my window which is really cold, and even if I leave the CPU off all night, and turn it on, it has the same problems.

::EDIT:: haha, I tried getting rid of one of the "svchost.exe" which made my computer error and restart O_o

dont touch the system processes...

EDIT: Try ending the nvidia process, java, the ones that might be evil and well... everything non-system... c if it does anything aside from a performance boost...

and by OC - overclock

Oh right, over clock *smacks my forehead* I'll try ending some needless processes.

Doesn't seem to have much of an effect.
