I thought this would be the best place to ask about it.

Whenever I plug in my iPod, the computer says "unrecognized usb device" blah blah blah and refuses to recognize it. It says the device has "Malfunctioned" or something.
The support page they gave me didn't help, it worked literally 5 minutes before now, I tried to restart my comp, but that didn't help.

Any people out there who can help? I don't want to ask dad, cause he'll go off on how I "broke the computer" :P

you sure you didn't drop it :P

The only thing I could suggest is that you do the normal. Check connector, uninstall driver, download latest driver, reinstall.

that and google it...

Did you update iTunes recently? There was a murmur going around a week or so ago that the latest iTunes was screwing up iPods.

This is why I use an MP3 players instead. Try re-updating the iTunes or format your iPod.

Audio Sten SB820, Apacer. 512 mb memery storage, USB... yea, i think there's a big difference from my MP3 player from an iPod, that's just a different kind of mobile entertainment system.

They're both MP3 players. iPods play MP3's just as well as your DAP(Digital Audio Player) does. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3_player

Plus I like to mention MP3 players and Ipods are also data storage devices they're just made to be able to play music and videos without connecting to a pc, so you can upload word documents, flash documents, games, pictures etc. to them and transfer/play them on another computer.
There are a lot of idiots who don't understand that...

"Does that get charged when you plug it in?" "No, no it doesn't." "Then why do your your MP3 player plugged in then?" "because it has all my work on it." "I didn't know that... *stupid look on face.* "

"I've got a data storage device! Now I can save my work on them and don't have to e-mail myself." "But don't you have an Ipod? It's basically the same, except your Ipod can store more than that cheap crap." "*Silence*"

I own a Rio Nitro, personally. 512MB of storage suits me just fine. I don't need 10,000 songs or fancy white earbuds for $300, :)

iPods just market their storage to justify the price. I have yet to meet anybody who has the time (or the reason) to actually fill the thing to the limit. Has anyone actually done it with just music?

:) Besides, everybody knows that wrap-around headphones are better on your eardrums and a heckuva lot better quality. Nobody wants to hear you cranking Enya on campus, lol...
