Hmm, since I have no concept on computers, I'll let you guys figure this out for me. Is LimeWire safe to use? Also, the computer says I need to shut down my firewall when using LimeWire, is this safe?
No, it really isn't. You DON'T need to shut down your firewall, most likely just open certain ports. Where'd you get it from, the official website? Also, that lets a whole lot of spyware in. Always try and verify the file you are getting too, because people love posting viruses with it. Limewire is safe, just when used with precaution. It's sad, some people malicious obsessions with technology. @.@

i use Azureus(BitTorrent) thats safe
Azureus is a bittorent client though, not Peer to Peer like Limewire.
My overall suggestion would be to find different ways to get the files you want, like Bittorent(FighterNP is right, Azureus is a good client for BT), or an HTTP DL site. Don't use P2P unless it's absolutely necessary, or if you know who is sending you the file. :|
