Throughout my use of Firefox, I've aquired several extensions that I feel I should share with the rest of you. I request that this topic be sticked if others decide to post their extensions, so that we have one general place to look for them, and not many different topics.

Flashgot

Download one link, selected links or all the links of a page at the maximum speed with a single click, using the most popular external download managers for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and FreeBSD (dozens currently supported products, see http://www.flashgot.net for details). FlashGot offers also a Build Gallery functionality which helps to synthetize full media galleries in one page, from serial contents previously scattered on several pages, for easy and fast "download all".

Adblock

Once installed, it's a snap to filter elements at their source-address. Just right-click: Adblock: done. Filters use either the wildcard character (*) or full Regular Expression syntax. Hit the status-element and see what has or hasn't been blocked. (In other words, if you see an image or flash animation you don't like, right-click it and permanently remove it.)

Internet Explorer view
Adds "View page in Internet Explorer" links to the content and link context menu. Handy for previewing pages in IE, loading up IE-only pages when you run across them in Mozilla, etc.

Page update checker
(I don't think I need to copy and paste the explanation for this one, if you are on these forums, you know why this is so useful.)

Dr. Web anti-virus link checker
This plugin allows you to check any file you are about to download, any page you are about to visit with online version of Dr.Web anti-virus! New menu item "Scan with Dr.Web" will appear on hyperlink context menu.(This is a plugin, not an extension. But it's useful enough for me to post it here.)

It's an anonomizer, doesn't work at my school, but it might for you guys.

Stickied as requested. ^_^ Some extensions that I find useful are SessionSaver, and Tabbroswing Preferences, I'll add links when I find them.

SessionSaver:
SessionSaver restores your browser -exactly- as you left it, every startup, every time. Not even a crash will phase it. Windows, tabs, even things you were typing -- they're all saved. Use the menu to add + remove sessions; right, shift, or middle-clicking will delete. "Simple mode" for peace of mind, or "Expert mode" for advanced flexibility.
Tabbrowser Preferences:
Enables enhanced control for some aspects of tabbed browsing.
Customize Google:
CustomizeGoogle is a Firefox extension that enhance Google search results by adding extra information (like links to Yahoo, Ask Jeeves, MSN etc) and removing unwanted information (like ads and spam). All features are optional and easily configured from the options menu.

I found a portable version of Firefox.......it's awesome. I don't have firefox on my school laptop, but since i have to portable version on my pen drive i can use it wherever whithout installing it.

Sorta necropost, but since it's sticky, I think I might get away with it with only a light beating.

Must recommend Mouse Gestures. Anyone that's played Black and White is halfway to using it already - hold down a button on the mouse, make a specific pattern, and it does something. It's customizable too, if you don't like the default. Although it does tend to make you try to use the same gestures in other programs or non-extended browsers on other computers, leading anyone watching to declare you insane.

My only criticism of it is fiddliness of diagonals vs straight lines. I ended up disabling diagonal moves altogether.

Actually, this thread is one of those wonderful exceptions. As long as it's a cool or useful Firefox extension then by all means, post it. :P

Google Browser Sync

Usefull if you have trouble keeping your bookmarks up to date across several machines. Requires a Gmail account. It will also save your current session (open tabs) so you can resume later on a different machine.

Only con is when setting up another machine its possable to goof and have it sync the default links over your real ones loosing them. So a backup of your bookmarks is a good idea just in case.

Another nice one, mostly targeted at web developers (or people who are just plain curious) is Tamper Data.
It lets you view/log the HTTP headers of each HTTP request Firefox makes - and even modify your own headers arbitrarily.

Also a nice tool if you have to deal with people that implement "security" via an "admin=true" cookie...

i like the add-on Answers.com don't no a word or a term just press hold alt and click it, and instant info and a definition of that word, and sun cult tells you what time the sun will up and what time it sets at, also tells you the same for the moon along with the phase it in and when the next new and full moon is.
