ok, well I'm working on designing a new case for my computer. It's going to be made out of pure acrylic(i.e. clear! ^_^ ), and I wanted to make something completely different than other cases. This case will have all openings, cables and everything on the front, instead of only having a few things on the front, and cables on the back. this pic is sort of a diagram, at least of the front panel:
so we have a row of 5.25 inch drive bays, 7 of them, then at the bottom is 4 usb/firewire ports, power button, reset, power and hdd LED's, and next to them, 2 analog audio ports(left and right, the old style, i forget the name of em - don't need earphone plug, thats in the audio card front box), next column is 3 3.5 inch drive bays, then 3 hard disk's with a fan in front. taking up most of the bottom section is the motherboard, which is lying horizontally, with the rear side(which has all the ports) facing the front.

Above on the right, on its side is a power supply. the dimensions will be 18x12x12(18inches wide, 12 long and 12 high, the sizes in this image should be translated at 100dpi).

btw, I was working on this for what felt like 20 minutes, and I checked the clock, and omg, its been 4 hours geez... :rolleyes:

looks nice, but it does't really give a good idea of the case. also i hope your prepared to bend down alot if your going to put the usb/firewire port at the bottom.

BTW: if your going to do images that large don't embed them

o well, its only a few colors, and png... true, i probly shouldnt have, but i copied the same post as i posted on another forum. imagine this picture as the front. also it would be on a desk/table thing anyway.

anyway now to adjust edges and figure exactly where i should cut to make this work, then print, and do a test cut on a piece of plywood, figure out how everything will go together, then replace the wood sections with acrylic.
