My dad, getting into the computer game EARLY, had a lot of them around. This one was an upgrade, but the earliest computer I remember using was an old 386 running like DOS 5 or 6. I was about 8 or 9 at the time, and these machines were cool. My brother also had this big, black chunky Toshiba which weighed like 12 pounds and ran Windows 3.11. I played a lot of DOOM then.

Apparently, I was somehow able to trash other computers I don't remember. My parents still don't trust me with their computers, even my own.

I kind of remember my 1st pc. Some windows 3.1 system...the 1st one i can remember alittle better was some windows 95 machine i used to play some World War 2 flying game. I just got my 2nd machine back from my aunt (gave it to her about 7 years ago) and its a Pentium 2 450Mhz with a 52x CDrom drive and a *gasp* 60GB hard drive. i upgraded the ram from 32MB to something like 300 MB. It used to be running Windows 98SE but i put on Debian on it cause it ran faster and smoother...it has internet to so i use it when i go surfing the web. lol

Okay, 2.

First computer I used was a top of the line Win95 box. Barely remember anything except it ran really well.

My first computer was a *shudder* eMachine laptop.
Wasn't bad for 03, ran XP Home, 1.66 AMD single core, 512 MB RAM, 60Gb HD, 128 Dedicated Graphics. Its now a glitchy server running Ubuntu 8.04

Yeah i remember the good old days, when i was too poor for a new machine so i ended up using a 386 well into the p3 era. I remember once a friend came by showing off this new pc game he picked up. He had never seen a computer older than a p2 and didnt quite know what a FLOPPY disk was. you know those old gargantuan monstrosities. It ended with me sitting infront of the computer for several hours trying to pry the cd he jammed in the floppy drive out with a pair of tweezers. Ah good times. good times...

the computer was WAY to old to have a cd drive. he tried to jam a cd into the slot on a 5.25 floppy drive.
