Looks pretty solid to my eyes. And it reviews very strongly.

I'd say if you're looking for gaming cards, go up to 1Gb rather than a 516, though there's really nothing wrong with the lesser. The one Kinuki listed is definitely a quality item.

I would still pay the extra forty dollars for nearly 80% more output on the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130345

But if you're tight on budget, definitely the one you linked is a good second.

So this would probably be a good buy for me? I am in the middle of building my computer, i have a Asus P5KC motherboard, and a Q9300 Quad core, and I am wanting to spend around 200 bucks for it.

EDIT: Nevermind, that card only has a DVI connection, I'm looking for a HDMI connection.

Hm, the 9600GT Fast linked has been "deactivated," guess it's OOS.

Anyone have suggestions for a really powerful card for, say, below $250? I'm dying to be able to run Oblivion with a texture pack at a high resolution and gets a solid 30 FPS. Or even FarCry. I can barely run FC on my laptop now unless it's at low settings, and even then it chugs outdoors. :(

250$ will go a long way on newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814133217 (a bit over $250)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130376
or if you're an ATI person:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102759

Those all seem to have fairly good ratings too. I didn't look very hard though.
