Okay, i realize that almost everyone I've ever talked too says that using a gamepad on tf2 would be a complete waste, but i got a gamepad (not only for tf2, but for all games i know of that have crappy controls for PC and i want to play) and i decided to go ahead and try it, in case i preferred it, i do like things a lot of other people hate anyway, so i figured i would give it a shot...
Unfortunately i couldn't get it to work properly, if i plug it in i can move forward and look side to side, i can even walk backwards and strafe but it wont let me look up and down, so i can't use it...
Originally i wasn't to bummed about it, i figured that tf2 just wasn't meant for gamepads so i left it be, but then i wanted to try out hl2 with it as well as portal..guess what, same problem.
I realize that i might not like it, but if anyone knows how to get it to work, i would appreciate it very much....
Also, i checked and there is not a change button scheme on any of the games, and there is nothing else to change besides sensitivity and in fact, turning on the gamepad.
Also, i have the 360 gamepad, basically just a 360 controller that has a wireless router thing that uses a usb port....
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
