Fred ran frantically inside the mansion for the door, and pounded on it, "Let me out! LET ME OUT!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, then a hand reached out from the door and grabbed him, slowly pulling him into the wall, inches at a time. How could this happen? he thought, this was supposed to be an average mission, find out why Mr.Tucker had disappeared inside the mansion. First they had started out in the ballroom, and found nothing, then they had gone upstairs and still there were no clues. finally they had gone into the attic and all hell had broken loose. First a man, dressed in the most ridiculously fake vampire costume, had walked out of the shadows and grabbed Daphne, then bitten her savagely on the neck. He then threw her to the side, and chased after them. They pelted down the attic steps, and found that the house was different..... Bigger. The rooms had changed, and the doors were locked. After Daphne, they lost Velma to a strange thing with snakes for heads, on look and it and turned her to stone. Fred, Shaggy and Scooby, had run down the stairs, when they were attacked by a strange man, whose body was covered in fur. he tackled them off the stair-case and they fell to the floor. Fred had kept running. As he was absorbed into the walls, his last thought was, It was Real, it was all REAL!, His last cry echoed throughout the house, followed by a loud creaking sound, to the discerning ear, it sounded almost as if the house...chuckled.

This is the opening scene for the RP, You can be anyone you want with any training you want. Be warned as those that were rained to deal with the paranormal will not have any more chance of survival than anyone else, deaths will be either spectacular and sudden, or affairs that last pages, ending only when you reach the Door. Your mission is to survive and get out of the house. Alive.

Character sheet:
Gender:
Name:
Age:
Appearance:
Working Background: What are you skilled in?
Why you went to the house: This can be anything from being hired to be a plumber at the house to being a detective looking for the conclusion to the case of the disappearance of Mystery Inc.
Equipment: Wrenches, guns, lighter, rope, any and all will be your salvation or damnation.
Heirlooms: What special relics do you carry around as gifts from your grandparents or uncles or family in general? (I.E. Silver cross, small ampule of holy water, crystal monocles said to see through fay illusions? Whatever you can think of. Within reason, no plumber carries around an enchanted claymore to work.)
Knowledge: Has your character ever read a fantasy book? Does he/she know what the Baobahn Sith are? Does it know Vampires are allergic to garlic, and Werewolves intensely dislike silver? If it doesn't know these things, it won't help him at all to be armed with a stake-shooting mini-gun against a vampire. Might as well try to fight a Werewolf with cheese if he does not know what its weakness is.

Monster sheet:

Name: (Darth Sithicus is out.)
Gender:
Appearence:
Basic Monster type: Ie, werewolf, vampire, Slime monster, skeleton. etc)
How you got into the house: The house is basically a portal to the other dimensions, and resident monster can be pulled from wherever it wants.
You could be a famous Vampire in your dimension, and the House pulled you out to eat some pesky kids, Whatever you can imagine, limits on powers will depned on character.
How long have you been in the house:
Equipment: Nothing, nadda. Bupcas. You have the clothe on your back and your natural weapons.

Rules:
I am Gm my word is absolute when I say it is.
This being said, it is a battle to see who can survive between a haunted house and thyself so you can argue some stuff.
Auto-hits are fine, but remember that you are a normal human, so, no picking up and hurling steel girders.
Autohits, if applying to monsters can also apply to you.
Depending on the mood that is set, you may be able to resurrect some of Mystery INC, unlikely though.

Anything I missed?

If it is well-received this will be up either Sunday, or Saturday.

Slightly sound concept, but not something I'd want to join...Sorry, but I'm not into fan/TV series based RPs, most of them don't live long

Ah well. Its not a finished concept make suggestions and I may be able to change it. The Mystery Inc thing was pure-thought up on the spotness.

Hmmm... I'm debating whether or not to enter this one.

If we enter as a monster, MOG, just what sorts of monsters are off-limits, if any?

Well anything WAY too powerful or cliche is off limits, like a 10,000 year old vampire, or Cthulu, (Because my intern just got back, and is now demanding danger pay. It seems Cthulu had a little.. fun. So unless he get his arse handed to him he get a minor role.)
The Kraken is too big to fit in the house, unless you stumble into an alternate dimension while trying to get out. And the wall monster from Amityvile Horror is already being used.
Other than that or anything too big, like dragons, go wild.

On the topic of dragons, what about a smaller, younger one? I mean something as tall as a horse at most.

Sure, it just has to fit inside corridors.

Gotcha. Thank you.

Name: Alandrir

Gender: Male

Appearence: Alandrir appears to be a dragon the height of a horse and about as long as two mid-sized passenger cars placed end-to-end. His eyes and claws look slightly too large for his body and his wingspan is about twelve feet across. Glass crystals grow all the way down his spine, turning into a small 'mane' right behind the head. His body's scales are mainly bone-white flesh with lines of blue- and black-veined glass running down his sides. His claws and teeth look like pieces of glass, and his wing membranes resemble glass with a marbled pattern of blue and black veins. The front of his head is predominantly black. He wears a number of rings, tail-rings, and amulets on his neck, tail, and claws, all Arabian in design.

Basic Monster type: Dragon (glass, juvenile) [again, a cookie if you get the reference]

How you got into the house: He was investigating a set of old ruins to see if it would work as a lair. After stepping through a strange, rectangular arch (doorway) he found himself standing inside a bedroom in the house. After trying to use the arch to return home he turned the bedroom into a lair, growing numerous large black glass crystals to coat the walls, floor, and ceiling. His home now bears a resemblance to a black glass cavern.

How long have you been in the house: About five years by his reckoning.

Special Abilities/Traits:

Breath Weapon: The breath weapon consists of a blast of powerful sonic waves and glass shards, designed to slice through flesh and cause internal damage. While not as physically devastating to a living creature as, say, a blast of fire, it does cause significantly more damage to objects than simple flame. He can only use the blast once every six to eighteen seconds.

Glass Shock: Alandrir's body fractures explosively, sending glass shards and sonic waves flying in all directions at high speed. The damage inflicted to himself then immediately heals.

Rapid Healing: Damage dealt to Aladrir's body heals at a fairly rapid rate. A gunshot, for example, would heal entirely in about two hours, one if in his 'cavern' due to the glass there applying itself to his wounds.

Sorry, just thought the last tab might be a necessity with some of the monsters, so we have the stuff 'on paper', so to speak.

All right. Your character is going to one of the ones hunting the 'meddling kids' so when it begins, the House is going to prompt you to chase them.

I'll post one of each soon. I swear I will, promise even.
Just give me some time to think a few up.

Reserve a place for me, please. This sounds interesting but I have things to do right now, so I don't have long. ;)

I'll probably be on the Houses' side.
