If any of you remember my last (and failed) attempt, I'm trying again.

And, before any of you start blaming me of copying Optix:

I had the idea first (by over a month) so there. :P

But, there is one major difference, mine determines winners and losers through stats. That's one of the reasons the first one didn't get off the ground, I had to figure out who won... by hand. I made a spiffy little program that does all that work for me. I have a winner in under 2 seconds.

The world: A massive city drifting between dimensions. The leader of this city is known simply as "The Boss" is never questioned by its inhabitants, and all that actually have meet him fear him beyond belief. The city is divided up into three districts: The High-life (upper class), the residential, and the coliseum, which is also part of the slums. Those from the upper class have their own seating in the coliseum. The rest is shared amongst the slums and residential.

The story: The Boss is a creature of unknown origin, and unknown power. Those that know of it's power are too fear stricken by the thought of it to ever tell anyone. But, The Boss, among other things, enjoys fighting. From time to time, he goes through the worlds, gathering people to fight for his amusement in the coliseum. Those that win may go home. Those that lose... Stay, go through another tournament, or fight the reigning champ of the Tournament of the Reaper. Those who fight the champ... seldom live to try again. You have found yourself captured by The Boss's henchmen, and must fight the others in your position if you hope to ever return home...

System: This is a fight to the death style tournament, and the victors will be decided by random numbers and stats. You are given 30 point to distribute amongst the 4 stats as you see fit, and I will give you another 5 that I will distribute as I see fit.

The Stats:

Power: Effects the amount of damage you deal. A 0 here will cause no damage, so you'll never win.
Skill: The higher this number, the more likely you will hit your target. This chance WILL be 0 if you don't put points here.
Speed: Effects how well you dodge. Again, 0 = no dodge.
Endurance: Effects how damage much you can take, and how easily you will block an attack. Blocked attacks do less damage, but you don't get off Scott free. 0 here only means that you can't block, not that you can't take damage without dying.

At the end of every successful victory, you will be given another 5 stat points, which will be assigned randomly.

Here's the sheet/rules, they will change depending on the world

Species: (Make [censored] up if you want to. Wouldn't advise making too much up though.. I will reject you if your species gives you a huge, unfair advantage simply RP-wise. I.E. Dragon... Yeah... Not that easy to fight, even if you technically could lose.)

Skill:
Speed:
Endurance:
Description:
History:
Weakness: (Pick a stat that doesn't grow as fast.)
Strength: (Pick a stat that grows faster than others.)
Items/weapons: (NO PROJECTILES!!! The Boss likes hand to hand combat.)

A quick note, there is a cap of 20 on each stat. And you must pick both a strength and a weakness.

Here are the rules:

1 - I am thy god. What I say goes in this RP, so no whining.
2 - Don't go crazy with auto-hits and dodges.
3 - Regardless of how awesome your stats are, since it's random, technically a character with a 1 in each stat can beat you. However unlikely that may be, it could happen. So, no being mad about losing to someone you deem inferior. And species only matters in appearance/RPing, no advantages in battle based on that.
4 - No, you cannot change your stats once submitted.
5 - Have fun. If you don't... I'll just hunt you down and feast on your liver.

I'll take a spot in this. I put my hand up for the other and had two characters but then the RP failed miserably, no offence.

Name: Hlal'vak Karn'men-to
Species: Lecart: A lizard like race, they have large forearms, huge heads and jaws, and near non existent necks. (From the previous RP)
Power: 15
Skill: 5
Speed: 4
Endurance: 6
Description: Stands 6'6" tall, extremely muscular, has a tattoo that reads "Only in death can one be free from slavery" on his left arm.
Weakness: Speed (Obviously)
Strength: Power (Duh!)
Items/weapons: A Katath (a large pole arm weapon, it has two blades that form a V-shape on the end of a large, rune-inscribed pole) The runes inscribed translate loosely to "If one fears death, one may never embrace freedom" and "If one wishes to accomplsh a goal, one must let nothing stand in their way".
History: Has always believed that fearing death prevents one from embracing freedom (as evident by the rune inscription on his Katath) and that only death frees one from slavery (as evident by his tattoo). Hlal'vak was born on a swamp world where giant snakes with two hearts lived, hence the invention of his people's weapon, the Katath. The Katath has the ability to puncture both hearts of the snakes at once, thereby killing them easily.
Hlal'vak was raised to be a fighter, lifting weights and training in armed and unarmed combat for most of the week. 4 days of training and 3 of weight lifting in his world's 8 day weeks.

Optix, the setting changed a bit. You are no longer constrained by the old RP's rules.

And please, you're supposed to not be from the Necropolis from birth. You have to have been born on another world. But yeah, that would be accepted, maybe his father won the last tourny or something.

This isn't the tournament from the last game, your character will not die when he/she loses.

((ok, I'm gonna kill myself for this, but I can't resist tournament-style rpgs. I hope my char gets accepted. >.< I put a lot of thought into the original I took parts from to make this.))

Name: Shadow
Species: Shadow
Power: 4
Skill: 5
Speed: 8
Endurance: 13
Description: Shadows were once human, but by some twist of fate (some believe they were cursed or touched a cursed item. Others say it's the result of sending a large amount of demonic energy into them too quickly. Shadow doesn't know himself, having lost that information along with his name.) lost all but the most basic humanoid form. Although he can change back to his human form, his true form is now that of a faceless, pure black entity whose form can shift at his will (to a point. only his arms up to his elbow (or were one used to be. :P ) have changed shape)
History: Long ago, by a power still unknown to him, his form was changed to that of a shadow, and beyond that, he doesn't recall much.
Weakness: power
Strength: endurance
Items/weapons: none, since his hands can become spearing weapons of themselves (although he'll refrain from it if weapons aren't allowed.)

Hmm... Very interesting character... I rather like it. Although the amnesia is an interesting side effect, he has no motivation to return home, or to socialize between battles, does he? Oh well. The Boss is also known for his twisted sense of humor. He probably picked you for the irony of returning a creature home that did not leave anything behind, should you win.

Also, weapons are allowed. Not everyone can use a sword well, but anyone can aim a gun. That's why there are no projectiles. Too easy.

Name: Nolaver Gristmoun- known as "Nol"
Species: Trestaran- look exactly like humans, but have some feathers on them. Location of feathers in description.
Power: 7
Skill: 7

Endurance: 2
Description: Tall at 6'7, Nol has silvered white hair, which sticks out behind him as if there's always a heavy wind blowing towards his face. He has a line of singular, large feathers along the outside of each foream, the same silver as his hair. His clothing consists of blue jeans and a green t-shirt with a blue pair of wings decorating the middle chest of the shirt. Nol is a cheery fellow, and is always willing to talk with people.
History: Nol had a good life, nothing traumatic ever happened to him or anything else that would push him into the deep end of the angst pool. He did, however, discover that he was very fast, faster than most Trestarans. However, He was able to be this fast because he had a slightly weaker-than-average bone strength. So the trade was speed for endurance, and Nol was fine with that. To get even faster, he started competing in races, and eventually those became too easy. Now he's looking for ways to become even faster!
Weakness: endurance
Strength: speed
Items/weapons: Trezarkin: the usual weapon of Trestarans, a Trezarkin is a spear with a point at one end, and a scythe blade on the other. Additionally, the weapon can be unscrewed into two halves to attack with both ends at once.

Another RP where I didn't decide to be Drisk or Strear again, hoorah!

Description: Green scales, red cloak, two horns on either side of head.
Weapon: One longsword that emits straight alchohol(magical effect), and cestus (armored glove).
History: Always better at magic than others, he was able to use his matchstick spell to the best effect, he finally perfected it and bought a use-less sword from a magican's apprentice, it emmited straight alchohol, he used his spell to set it on fire during battle. He keeps it in a metaphysical locker, that was enchanted to make sure only he can open it.

Don't worry, at the rate people are joining, it'll be a while before we get enough to have a decent tournament. We can wait for a while.

But in the mean time, I need to make a tournament bracket, don't I?

Note: she normally wears clothes. A peaches top and some dark pants.
History: Not a great deal is known about Peaches. It is clear that she is of demonic heritage and that she is much older then she looks, though it is impossible to know how old, the girl herself lost count many years ago. Living in the underworld, although it is believed that she did not originate there.

She has always been interested in beings that are not demonic, despite most demons views that mortals are nothing but food and cattle.

Weakness: Power
Strength: Speed
Items/weapons: Herself. Is able to shape shift to a certain extent, so is able to grow claws from her hands plus her tail is razor sharp. She is also a magic user.

(Kilroy might reconise Peaches ;))
