Tetsuya was sitting in at a table outside a Japanese tea shop. He had gone to Japan to refresh his language skills. Sitting, waiting for his tea to arrive, he started to drift off to sleep when the waitress came. <Sorry for the wait,> she said, <Here's your tea.> She placed the clay cup on the table in front of him. <Thank you very much,> he said reaching out to the cup. Instantly the cup broke, and spilled hot tea on his hand. He pulled his hand back, and rubbed it with the other. <Oh my goodness, are you alright. Let me go get a cooling pad,> she said, walking back inside the shop. A minute later she came back out. He held his hand out and let her apply the pad, saying again, <Thank you very much.> He looked at his hand and thought to himself, Amazing. Living for so long you forget how much things have changed. <Here, let me wipe this up, and I'll bring you another cup,> she said, and went inside.
Tetsuya got up, placed the money on the dry patch of the table, and walked off, not waiting to for the waitress to come back. He continued down random sidewalks, and bumped into someone. He held out a hand to help guy up, but for some reason the man broke down and started crying. "What's the point in helping me," he said, "If no one here speaks English, how am I to find Tetsuyaaaa" Shocked at that his name was mentioned, he asked, "I'm a Tetsuya. Are you looking for me?" The man calmed down a bit and looked up at Tetsuya. He took out a photo, and exclaimed, standing instantly, "Yes! Yes you are. Oh thank goodness I found you. I thought I was going to fail, but I found you." "Okay, okay, calm down." he said, looking for a more private place to talk. He spotted a nearby alley, and motioned the man to follow. They entered the alley, and the man started to speak again, "Thank goodness I found you. Everyone I asked said something I couldn't understand. So I ended up searching aimlessly. Anyway, here. I'm supposed to give this to you." As he finished, he handed Tetsuya an envelope.
He opened the envelope, and took out the message and DVD. He started to read the message when the man spoke again, "You know, you're a lot cuter in person." Noting the affectionate tone, he lowered the message, and jumped up off the sides of the buildings, leaving the man behind. Back on the ground the man said, "Oohh, if you're not around, how am I supposed to find the harbour."
