Right. here it is.

So you're a normal, baseline human. Then, one day (8/14/09), it happens. You're on a school field trip to an old church, Taking a tour of a castle, or Just sweeping up the old theatre where you work. A noise catches your attention. You go to investigate. You faint.

When you wake up, you're in the Grayson house, with the others abductedthat day next to you. If you want out, want to save the house from the pervasive evil in it's roots, or solve the mystery of what exactly the house is, you're going to need each other.

The house itself is massive (like massive. city sized.), and any attempts to contact the outside world have failed miserably. Some sections are vast, open areas with plenty of passages to outside, while others are more traditional castle areas housing most of the population. All open areas have massive, sheer cliff faces, to the point where mist and darkness obscures the bottom. Magic exists in the house, and you will gain powers as time goes on-but the more powerful you are, the more resistance your attempts to leave will be met with.

Politically, the house has several factions.
Order of the Silver Hand-an order of paladins, they keep order in the main castle section of the house, which is the most heavily populated. Named for the gauntlets that almost all members wear. They are religious zealots, but extend protection and mercy to those who obey the law. also, Rule #1-don't leave. Leaving undermines the stability of the house, which is why the Architect has barred it.

Rouges Gallery-they make their base in the least populated sections of the house. pretty much a guild of treasure hunters, as the Architect has hidden many magic items around the house. Heads of the black market.


Shadows-they come from the base of the house, intentions unknown. Mysterious. Spooky.

Monsters-what's life without a challenge, eh? they have been making more headway in recent years than expected, and threaten stability in the house.


The Architect-maker of the house. "the sum of all knowledge about him could be put in a thimble" is a common phrase describing him.

Race-wise, i'm going for mostly humans, maybe a few other fantasy races. Humans and others native to the house were not abducted, they were there when it was made millenia ago. On Currency, it isn't usually used, and people exchange favors or barter with food.

Classes:
Fighter-good with weapons and hitting stuff.
Healer-guess
Paladin-can smite, detect, and expunge (exorcise) evil. Also can do a healing touch and skilled with weaponry and armor.
Gunslinger-uses guns.
Archer-uses a bow.
Wizard-knowledgable and scholarly. good at solving puzzles.
Mage-burns stuff. focus on combat spells.
Berserker-Guess.
Boxer-hit things with their fists. Really, really well.
Archaeologist-use magic items, evade traps, pick locks. Indiana Jones.

Equipment:Short sword, Steel gauntlet, and leather armor. (plate's hard to find, and impossible to find...modified.)
Abilities:
-Smite Evil. Channels holy energies into a burning attack. Only works against evil. Can be used for any melee attack.
-swordsmanship. She's good with swords.
-Healing touch. Can heal wounds that she can touch. Severe wounds require a dedicated healer instead. Takes a little while and a bit of focus to work, so no insta-heals.. (if it needs to go to the hospital, she can't fix it.)
-Expunge*. More powerful version of smite, can be used at a range.
History:her parents offered her up to the order, hoping for a better life for their daughter than that of a poor farmer. She's spent most of her life in the order, but her habit of questioning authority means that she's agnostic. She's certain that the Architect is a god, and that he gives her powers, but isn't going to say that he's good or evil. Oh, and there was a vow of chastity involved, so...hands off.

Appearance: her normal form: Image She is usually found in this form, using it to the best of her abilities to get new people to the house better situated. When she needs hands, for instance, to fight, she changes into a form somewhat similar to this one: Image she wears a tradtional red kimono instead, however, her hair is a bright red and her eyes blue.
Class: Wizard
Abilities:
Fly - A short duration spell she usually uses to get around easily.
Fire - a fireball. Quite powerful, but small.
Freeze - A circle of ice. Still powerful, but less so than Fire.
Foliot* - Creates a double image of herself, useful for distractions.
equipment: not really needed.
History: She was created from the Architect's mind, and her purpose is to greet, instruct, and teach newcomers the order of the Greyson house, and to act as their guide along their way.

Hmm..Alright Lohti, but you might want to change the name. Sofia's not gonna get along with Sofia all that well otherwise. Also, you need to add the quote section...I forgot to do it earlier.

Also, we need at least one Abductee.

Constant, Living shadow, immaterial and immune to physical attacks, but very weak to magical effects.
Manipulative form: Can manipulate his form so that it an be smaller than a mouse or lenghthen his arms, and can seperate self-parts (ie, hands head).
Shadow walk, can appear anywhere there is a shadow.
Knowing touch, can know one thing about you per touch, (poke) I know youre name (poke) I know you're birth date.
Mimic* can mimic the shape and resulting strength of any lifeform (must be organic).
Equipment: shadow sword, can touch material objects, gloves, when they are on his hands can interact with the material world. mirror shield a defense against light, as he is severely weakened by a direct sun beam.
History: Originally an abductee, he was transformed into a living shadow by the Archetecht, this was erased from his mind but he still retains a loathing of the Architecht and his servants. He was inducted into the Shadows because of his new form.

- Swordsmanship. She's exceptionally talented with swords.
- Sword of Righteousness*. Her sword is cloaked in holy energy and can slice through anything it touches.
Equipment: Iaito Sword, Silver Gauntlet, Leather Armour under her top.
History: She came to join the Order volunterily, wishing to repay them for saving her from certain death when she was 12. She believes that the Architect is a god that gives her power and so is dedicated to do his will and prevent people leaving. She took a vow of chastity but who's to say she'll follow it.

I am writing this under the assumption that the abducted are open to all classes.

Name: Strear Darrgrer

Age: 23

Apperance: Strear is 6 foot 2, and 187 pounds. He is light-skinned, and has blue eyes which are frequently in a glare to drive people away. Strear has no facial hair, and h=the tangled mess on his head is silver, though only strands are viewable under the black short-brimmed hat that always adorns the top of his head. Strear wears a white t-shirt with a large, black, button-up coat over it, filled with various large pockets and always kept unbuttoned. His pants are grey, loose, though not quite enough to be called baggy. His shoes are some old scratched black runners. All of this has a sort of "just thrown together" look to it, though it also looks organized in some small, weird little way.

Class: gunslinger

Abilities: Perception-speeds up Strear's awareness of a situation, simulating a slowdown of time which gives Strear a better reaction time.*

Bloodshot-Strear's pupil turns red and he sees the inside of his opponent, revealing all their vitals.*

ammo supplier- Drisk can morph metal into bullets.*

bullet infuse- Drisk can infuse ice, fire, and electricity into his bullets.*

History: Strear was an unlucky kid, devoid of parents by fate and a drunk truck driver, and devoid of friends by choice. Growing up in a foster home in New York City, Strear developed a negative attitude towards people that encases his entire personality. By fifteen Strear had been in the middle of a shooting, not on either side but trapped in the middle, dodging between bullets coming from both sides in a gasoline station mini-mart. Managing to punch out one of the gunners, Strear picked up the pistol that the unconcious thug had dropped and, feeling the smooth surface of the trigger and handle fly naturally in his hand, proceeded to shoot every other gunner there in the arm, disarming them all. Horrified that he had aimed that well, Strear dropped the gun and ran before the police came to make arrests on the hooligans of the shoot-out.
As Strear grew up, he realized that he he had not decided on a career path. Deciding to try and become a writer, Strear attempted to write short stories, and found a talent at it equalling the talent for firearms. Forgetting the incident at the mini-mart, Strear continued writing until he was 23, when he decided to take a sabbatical to see the world. Although still having a negative attitude towards most people (indeed, this is what feuled his writing) Strear was usually not actively hostile towards people, and had never made any real enemies. This is why it was so surprising when, while exploring a castle in Ireland, Strear felt a large jolt on the back of the head, and blacked out just in time to hear a dark laugh.

no, he didn't. Abductees are from earth, so they're humans, but they might slowly change into other races. Furthermore, they're way more important to the plot, and less likely to get killed.

optix-approve'd, but be warned-that final attack won't work all the time.
Mysterious Old Guy-I need to know what the last ability he'd gain is.

on the wizards, since they are distinctly lacking the wide variety of spells that you might expect from wizards, you might want to define them as Battlemages...they get only a few spells, but they're pretty powerful and useful. Though, NPC wizards will be helping you guys out at various points. If they don't die.

Class: Healer
Abilities:
Heal* - Basic healing. Soothes pain, closes up wounds and stops poison
Unburden* - Faith takes some of the strain off of one of her fellow allies. She shares their pain so as to weaken it's effect on her ally.
Soul charge* - Uses some of her own life force to boost that of an ally, giving them improved stength, speed and reactions. Faith However is considerably weakened
Foresight* - Gives Faith a brief glimpse into the future. Whether or not she is able to alter that future is unknown.

History: Faith has always been a little different from her classmates. She never has understood it, and has never really got along with many of her fellow students.

Growing up with her mother she hasn't ever had a male role model in her life so had this image that all guy's were heroes. That was untill she actually met her father little then a year ago. He was a drunken womeniser and her perfect image of him was shattered forever. She has never fully rocovered from it and is now even more within herself then before.
