To all those who have no idea what DMC stands for it's Devil May Cry.

Pretty much, i've been whoring off DMC4 for a while now, so i thought why not. I'm not giving a storyline, just a start and a hopeful end, the rest is up to those who join.

Rules -
1. No OTT character's for example - You can't have a Demon arm and a Devil form. And try to refrain from being stronger than Dante and Nero please.
2. Don't carry a ridiculous amount of weapons - E.G Don't carry A buster sword, minigun, rocket launcher and spoon. This would be stupid, as there is no room for all of the weapons, UNLESS! You are a full fledged demon who is about 20 feet tall.
3. No auto hits! / Auto kills!
4. If two character's decide to fight, discuss between you which will win BEFORE you have the fight.
5. Please do not control more than 2 character's at a time without checking with the other members.
6. If a 'Boss' is required, i will ask for someone to play the role. And the demon CANNOT! be killed in anyone's post except the controller's or if people have had enough and clarify it with other members.
7. No instant reloads. Take time reloading big guns. For example if you have an M60 and it runs out, don't just put 'He pulls the clip out and puts another in', take time E.G start reloading in one post and finishing in another if you can't think of a way to drag time out in the post.
8. If your weapon is shattered you can replace it, but don't do it instantly. E.G 'His sword was snapped in two and he pulled another one out'. This isn't allowed. If your going to have another sword obtain it! E.G 'The sword shattered apart in his hands. He threw it away and frantically searched for another. He found one, lying on the ground next to a corpse' This is allowed.
9. You may be attacked during reloading or re-obtaining of weapons, accept some of the hits, but DO NOT auto hit the person reloading / re-obtaining.
10. Have fun and remember, it's an RP so don't take it to far.

Perks.

Demon - These can die and will be recreated in the Demon world with no loss of power.

Half-Demon - These are stronger than Humans, but slightly weaker than Demons and can posses either a Demon form or Demon limb (E.G. Arm)

Human - Easily the most adaptable to any weapon. Can be blessed to turn into 'Angels' in the middle of a fight. Humans will work in groups of two or three to take out full fledged Demons.

'Angels' - More or less Demon's in a way. Except they can be controlled by humans for a limited time period. (E.G. One 'Angel' may be a suit of armor nobody inside it. this one could be stabbed in the neck, but remain uninjured) Angel's are the counter for demon's, and in open conflict could defeat some form's of Demon's.

All may Have a partner to help in conflict's, but try to make it a character controlled by another person.

I have left my Partner slot open for another person to pair with.

Drawbacks.

Demon - Will not work together and always put themselves first. They won't help other's to win during a fight, they will want to do it alone.

Half-Demon - Distrusted by all, and will try to avoid people at all costs.

Humans - Very frail. Weaker that most Demon's / Half-Demon's / 'Angels'

'Angel' - Can be controlled by humans and must protect human life at all costs. Also, unless designed to work in groups, they will work individually.

Beginning -
Demon - Start of in the Demon world and become transported to the mortal realm at some point during the post or a little later.

Half-Demon - May start anywhere.

Human - Try to start in a town if the character doesn't know of the existence of Demon's / Half-Demons. If they do, they may start on mission or in an organization.

'Angels' - Start in a lab or on guard duty. It is also fine if you start a post fighting an NPC Demon.

End -
All- The 'Final' Enemies base whether Good or Evil. If neutral, pick a side for the fight.

Additional Info: Can call upon the Demon spirit residing in his arm to full convert into the 'Frost' form. During this time he is identical to a frost and acts and attacks the same way.

Description: Tall, Regal, White hair, pinkish skin, Black clothes and jacket.
7 ft, buff, 2 black, uncurled horns come out straight from forehead, has vampirish fangs.
Bio: Recently promoted to Baron after climbing his way up from an imp, he was promised a position of a Lord of Hell, if he suceeded in his mission to stop those trying to harm the Demon.
Weapons: Demonic katana that grows in power with each person it kill, recently aquired so not very powerful yet, Artemis gun from the original DMC.
Additional Info: Ability to absorb the power of those he latches onto with his fangs.

Questions!

-How do you expect this to work, exactly? The entirety of DMC is largely based off of auto-hitting (only played DMC3 standard edition: Dante's cool cockiness only happens because he always hits -and always kills- in cinematic)


-no auto reloading? (Dante never had to reload Ebony and Ivory or the Hunting Rifle, a fact that disturbs me to this day.)

in DMC 3 dante gets his arse handed to him by vergil in a FMV, he also gets a beating from him later on and then by Ackerman (spelt wrong) as the jester dude when they open up the portal to the demon world.

good question though....how are you going to be dealing with the fights between player controled characters? Coz lets be honest when two players come against each other, neither is going to want to lose are they?

as for auto reloading, it's a design decision for the game to keep the action high and flowing. No one wants their combo messed up because they have to reload nopw do they. in the DMC universe though you see characters reloading.

What I would like to know is how is this being linked to the DMC universe? so far you've not provided any info on the storyline...at all

I see you point. I forger to say that it is set over 100 years after the end of DMC4. Dante and Nero are dead / unseen / no longer around / you get the idea. Demon's are still attacking in order to conquer the planet.

As to your other question. If you read above in my first post, you will see that i stated there will only be a beginning and end. The rest is up to the people who join.

Well. It's up to the GMN to stop god-0modding. Plus he did say you weren't aloud uber characters like Dante and Nero so...

you forget that EVERYONE in the DMC universe is uber. Lady showed skills beyond a normal humans. And her fater, while in human form (not sure if it's a transformation or a disguise) stood on the ceiling and took her out with a book!

If you are a human, you have to be uber ro survive the first blow of anything. because regular humans don't usually survive a sword slash or a bullet wound to the chest.

I guess everyone has gotta be uber then ;)
