So, yeah, I'm joining the 2kinds rp boat.
But mine's got a bit of a twist to it. It is an alternate story idea to 2kinds, so I'm worrying totally zilch on canon. In fact, I'm encouraging the lack of it, as you'll notice. No actual comic characters (I dun wanna steal too much) and some of the organizations are altered, and many are added.
Story:
I had always been told that the Keidran were our allies. Our friends and comrades. That we, as one, would create a new society where all could thrive.
We never knew what they had plotted.
They were savage and superior, natural warriors. The surprised and lax militia never had a chance. They took our children and brainwashed them, and had them fighting at ages where they should have been chasing small animals and laughing. In that instant, I knew-
The alliance was broken and forsaken.
--
The humans had asked for their fate. They destroyed the ancient grounds to provide their own dwellings for their miserable lives.
They deserved death. Life was wasted upon them.
Their children would be spared, if they forsook their fathers' lifestyle. And so many did, and now they fight for us, seeing their own as their enemy.
And our children learn the way of the spear and the axe and the bow, while theirs play in the fields in blissful ignorance of the true war that heralds them. We charge at tender ages even by our own standards. And, slowly, we regain what was lost.
They promised us strength in numbers. This promise was enough for us to overlook their blasphemous and treacherous ways for a time. But soon it became unbearable. Not another ground would be decimated, not another one of their despicable sorcerers brought up to manhood. We struck, and we struck quickly, before they could infect more of the world with their sorcery and filth.
Death to the humans. May the ancestors guide our steps.
Quick noting of factions:
The Cavaliers: Doing almost all their combat on horseback, the Cavaliers have led charge against the Keidran raids since the breaking of the alliance.
Two-Hands: Especially skilled in double-weapon or two-weapon fighting, the "Two-Hands" often wield twin weapons into combat. These incredibly dextrous and powerful warriors are feared anywhere they go.
The Stonewalls: Their massive shields like a rock against the storm, their armor thicker than castle walls, and their morningstars falling with the strength of mountains, the Stonewalls are powerful and nearly indestructible warrior factions.
The Soaring Leaves: Though it is said a Keidran is always more adept in the woods than a human, the Soaring Leaves may beg to differ. As one with nature as any tree or root, they protect the last forest human dwellings.
The Templar: The final Magocracy to which all humans answer in these dark times, the Templar are wise guardians of the last known arcane magics.
Pick one or make one yourself, these are just some examples.
Name:
Age:
Race: (Keidran fighting for keidran might not be advised, considering they're the bad guys on this rp. Keidrans for humans are okay though.)
Organization/Class:
Char Description:
Items generally carried around (including weapons/armor)
Bio:
My Character:
Name: Asves Al'Thaerron
Age: 23
Race: Human
Organization/Class: Two-hands
Char Description: Though at first sight, he looks to be of an inferior build, the signet worn on his armor would deter any bandit. He is a Two-Hands, a fierce and dextrous fighter. He wears a Green cowl that covers his face.
Items: Leather armor, green cowl, two straight, single-edged swords.
Bio: Asves was originally a bard of some renown, who played many instruments with equal mastery. Born and raised with the optimism of the Human-Keidran alliance, Asves was devastated when seemingly the entirety of the Keidran tribes turned upon the humans with a unity they had not achieved for almost a century. Determined to win back his home and country, Asves put his ambidexterity to use and learned the way of a Two-hands. His blades, Confession and Redemption, are his closest allies, inset with countless Templar runes to be made sharper than any hand-forged blade could possibly become. Despite his love for his trusted weapons, he has a general mistrust of magic otherwise.
Finally, some basic rules.
1. When making new classes/organizations, don't go too far. For example, no "Supreme overlords of everything" organization (Unless you're templar, and even then, you'll have problems).
2. If you're joining Keidran, you might be alone. Remember that their motives for attacking the humans are very different than the comic.
3. Alternate races are acceptable, if reviewed by me. Basitins are acceptable, but at this point are nationally neutral in the Keidran-Human conflict.
4. No bunny jacking, trolling, overpowered characters, etc etc. This has got a higher-than-normal standard for how powerful characters are, so here's some examples-
Exampled of overpoweredness:
a character with influence over an army.
a character who can make other PC's immediately bend to their will.
a character with control over a dragon, or a draconic character.
A character with easy and re-usable access to enough destructive power to overwhelm several dozen trained soldiers or wizards.
