First of all, I have absolutely no idea whether to put this in Ranting Or RP forum because it isn't an RP, it is a question that relates to RPing.

Well, as for the question.
Am I allowed to post an RP of TwoKinds?
See, I was thinking of making an RP that is during the time Trace was the crazy evil Grand Templar in the land of TwoKinds.
The Humans/Keidran still at war.
But it is more like a sandbox area since nobody is allowed to use the official characters, just Custom ones and venture around everywhere(Perhaps places Tom hasn't thought up of yet.)
There is gonna be an OOC/Sign up thread with its form that I already made and other things.
Thats about it.

This type of RP has been done several times.

You are more than welcome to start another.

I believe one of the original purposes of the roleplaying board was to make twokinds roleplays. I made a sort-of one myself on the suggestion from a friend (Actually, I think Yash gave that suggestion- not sure though)

By several Yash means "A million."
However, also remember that, while twokinds is a pretty neat comic, Tom's world isn't as fleshed out as some others you could be ripping off, as far as I know he hasn't even given specific names of any nations yet, even (for the most part) geographical locations of countries or names of major cities. There is probably some part of the website I haven't explored yet that will prove me wrong but oh well.

Best suggestion is write up your own world, and make it closely resemble 2kinds, maybe even- and this is just a suggestion, but try an alternate story where Trace Legacy is assassinated early in rule, thus ruling out any chance of the main characters of the storyline being of any significance to it.

EDIT: It seems that I let my reply go in the gutter for a bit, so pulling it out after seeing your posts.

1: Triple post. BAD.
2. your character sheets are over-sized to the point where even you don't seem to be able to find a use for them. Here's a good example of a character sheet: (I'll even fill it out for you)

Name:
Gender:
Age:
Race:
Notable Interests and skills: What all your character can do and enjoys doing.
Description:
Generally carried items: Generally because your character might want to change some aspect of their wardrobe, arsenal, etc.
Bio: List whatever went on with your character prior to the rp in question, perhaps even an added statement as to why they're in area X. If the GM (Game Master) is using a character, it's a good idea (though not a necessity) to tie his character's bio in with the main plot line.

That's really all you need, eight places to fill in versus your twenty-six. One thing I know you don't need is a Username for an rp, the forum already supplies you with that. Also, you can make enemies and such implicit in character biography. Nicknames can just be added into the name (Ex: Andrew "Ender" Wiggin) You do NOT need favorite food or color, that's pretty much useless in and of itself.

Just let people post their own profile, you don't want to make that much of a burden on yourself with a forum rp- it can live for weeks just with inter-character drama, and thus the position of a GM is somewhat minimal.

You also DEFINITELY need a back story for your roleplay, sandbox of Tom's webcomic or not. If you can't think of a half-decent one, then you're going to waste your time making a roleplay. Sorry I can't sugar-coat that, but it's not like painting or novel writing where even if it sucks you can keep it around in your own home if you honestly like it. If you can't make a good story on a roleplay, it'll never get off the ground, and you're going to be alot more crushed than you would be by art critics. You should try hopping onto another one, though I'll also admit this isn't the place to look. I'd personally suggest finding some friends and gathering around the old d20 table with one of those handy pre-set adventures.

with that said, I flee.

I.
Am way too uncreative to think of a backstory, but I'll try your advice and hope I live for at least a week.

I make profiles too detailed.

I hate to break it to people that they're no good at a hobby they're trying to pursue- but judging from your one and a half lines of backstory (You should have at BARE BONES MINIMUM a decently long paragraph worth four or five lines) this is probably not a gift that you've been graced with, no offense to you intended, and it's not one you just get better with practice with if you're just not creative enough to find a story. Fiction writing takes creativity. It doesn't matter how scientific it is, how close to home, how basic or short. You need creativity to make it good.

I actually tried to make an example bio but got distracted and wrote a tiny short story intro I think I'll put on the story board later.
