Nagan was riding his horse over a hillside, seeing a lone traveler, wearing heavy brown cloak, walking down the path in the same direction. Approaching, his horsed neighed and stood up on it's hind legs. The traveler turned around, and tried to hide his fear.
"Who do you serve..." Nagan said staring down at the Traveler.
The traveler took a few steps back, he was reaching for his back, Nagan realized it, and jumped off his horse. In a short instance the cloak flew off, staring at him was a member of the Order of the Silver Hand, who are at war with the Order of the Blood Knights, he was wearing pure gold plate armour, conveniently previously completely covered by that cloak. He held a hammer and a basic kite shield.
"Scum like you don't deserve to be a Paladin... Blood doesn't make you holy, your actions make you holy, your kind were damned from the begining, and don't deserve to have the gifts, we won't stop until you and every other evil in the world are cleared."
That is what set Nagan off, he sput the shield, and gripped something, holy power kept the blade of the shield spinning as he charged at his opponent, his sword was met by the shield, and the hammer was met by his shield, which started cutting into the steel rod which was forged into the carved stone which blocked the blow. The force shattered a bone in Nagan's arm. Retreating back, he held his arm, and chanted in his native tung. The bone was healed just before he managed to deflect a second blow, luckily not breaking anything. The battle went on for minutes before they realized that they were both experienced fighters, Nagan with speed, and the unknown paladin with strength.
In a quick thought, Nagan caused a blast of light, before retreating into the forests. It was a while before he managed to lose this other paladin. He let go of the grip in his shield and the spinning stopped. He collapsed panting He put his shield and sword and entered the forest, hoping that even though he was was wearing a colour that would stand out, that all the trees would cover him.
