"Ah yes, Lacerto, you would love to join us. Trust me on this. Me and Sam have already spoken on the subject. I will be in the group. Now, make sure she doesn't wake up while I go check on some... things," Cian said, walking out of his office. He made his way to the lobby, up stairs, and to a certain door. Rapping twice, he recieved a very nervous "Who is it?" from within.
"Don't worry, it is just Cian. May I come in Amber?" he asked, waiting for a full thirty seconds before a response.
"That... demon isn't with you, right?" she asked, sounding even more nervous than before.
"I have a hard enough time trusting Sam with myself. I would never let him near you, I promise," he responded. The door opened, and Cian strolled in, hearing a click behind him.
"Why did you let that demon in? You hate them," she asked, obviously still a bit shaken about earlier. Cian turned, so that she could see his face.
"Sam... Is an old friend of the library. I don't quite trust him, but I do know that if he intended to kill us, we'd already be dead..." Cian said, looking a bit nervous. His statement didn't seem to calm her down any.
"But... He killed that witch... What're we gonna do about that?" she asked, starting to panic. Cian quickly took her into a simple hug, holding her.
"You don't need to worry about that. I'll take care of it. You don't need to worry. I'll never let anything happen to you Amber. I promise," he said, feeling Amber grow slightly more relaxed in his arms.
"Fine... I won't. I... trust you," she said, relaxing a bit more.
((I felt like it.))
