Hey guys, I was wondering... Since so many people wanted TwoKinds to be animated, I've thought of making an Opening Theme for it as if it was an anime. I do have plenty of experience in animating, two years in fact. This project would take probably a few months. Should I go for it?

This sounds like a great idea ^__^
If enough time and effort is put into it, it will be awesome ^__^

I don't know, I think that this should stay a comic. Unless some good voice actors are found for this, it would just ruin the story, even if it was word for word.

I bet it can be done, and with our fairly large community we can probably find some good voice actors. I'd be obliged to play someone.

Uh, Raph and Southpaw. He was just talking about making an opening not a series or anything.

Anyways, I'd like to see this. Though I'm very curious as to what song you'd use as a theme for TwoKinds

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this topic already discussed?

For your information, I actually am gonna animate an opening theme for TwoKinds as a project and its no joke! That is, if Tom gives me the go-head.

Assuming Tom gives the OK, which I suspect he will, go for it, full force, no holds barred, warp factor 10! If you need any voices for anything, I'd be more than willing to lend my vocal cords, if they would be beneficial.

Well, the this issue has been discussed many times, however it never goes anywhere because no one knows how to, or has the time to, make anything decent animation wise. If you are serious, which you seem to be, you can probably do it, however its going to take a while.

What I suggest is to make up a few frames of animation and post it as fanart, to show that you actually *can* do something - then take *that* and show it to Tom. I seriously doubt that Tom would complain if you did that, because heck, he lets us use bits of his images in our signatures and such, and draw his characters for similar uses - Really, so long as you aren't attempting to make money off it, you ought to be fine.

Also, the best way I have found to contact Tom is to stay in the IRC chatroom:
Server: irc.nightstar.net::6666
Channel: #twokinds

Hes in there most of the time, but generally not active - At times he watches and replies, and at that time you ought to be able to ask. Still, I really suggest you do something simple to show him you actually *can* animate - Lots of people say they can, but this will show that you really can.

Appreciate the offer but I've already got my audio picked out and my only worry is... Will I be able to finish it?! I'm worried that I might drop the project (Very unlikely but possible) and disappoint everyone or if people don't like it, saying I have bad taste :(

Although I never been told that before... Yes I have a bad case of easily damaged self-esteem...

Look in my DA gallery and take a look at the animation I've made a year ago with only 3 school weeks. Its incomplete because I've decided that it didn't really fit the theme of my story.

Here's a link http://divinedr4gon.deviantart.com/art/ ... k-83626191

No audio due to DA regulations, just pull up a window with the song of Asterisk -- Orange Range

Really, it looks pretty good. The only thing I see wrong(aside from it being short  ) is the low frame-rate. However, as you said, that was done a year ago and all, so what you would be doing now would be much better.

Now, what I am wondering is if you are going to attempt to copy Tom's look for his characters(So it looks almost like what it would if Tom were animating), or use your own look?

Anyway, now I have confidence in you. I guess all that's left to do is ask Tom(although he is going to say yes).
