I have a theory about the "Pube-Puff" that male characters and Natani has, apparently other female characters don't have them (not counting the TWC voter incentive), I think it was a fur-style originally developed as sort of a "fig leaf" for the sake of modesty (females obviously don't have anything long sticking out to hide and so would groom it to be much flatter) and adopted by most males as a standard grooming pattern.

Natani think she's male so it would make sense that she would groom her pubic fur in the poofy "male" style to hide her "man-parts" instead of the flat "female" style even though she obviously doesn't have anything long and swingly to hide.

In all honesty, every time I see that puff I groan. I know this is a PG-13 comic, and don't think it should change that rating, but come on... ignoring the obvious hygienic problems that would come along with having a foot of fur covering your nuts and bolts, it's just corny and unrealistic.

Granted, it helps differentiate between genders, but so do breasts.

Flora seems to be the one character who fluctuates between having that puff and not. In the semi-suggestive art Tom has drawn, including the inch-worm incentive, no puff. Pretty much looked like she was wearing fur-colored sweatpants. In the current incentive, huge puff. I don't get it. Maybe they have disposable razors in the TwoKinds world.

Even so, the comic itself seems to be inconsistent quite regularly around these areas. When characters aren't wearing pants, sometimes the arse is drawn with intricate detail and sometimes it's glazed over like a one-cheeked ham. Sometimes there's a gigantic tuft of pubes on a character, sometimes its gone. It just comes off as Tom being unsure about his own comic. He's got the story down, but it seems as if he's always thinking about doing something more risque and backs out of it half of the time.

*shrug* I don't know, it just looks dumb. Not sure how else to put it. Pube puffs were not a good idea.

They are supposed to be like animals so wouldn't it make sense that they lick themselves even through the puff to keep clean when a bath is unavailable?

Her puff seems small (same for Natani), maybe females have less pube-fur and they groom it down when they get the chance?

There's a mental picture I didn't want...

Animals don't have these convenient tufts of fur to cover their giblets. And while I can see Tom not wanting to draw said giblets, and these tufts being a convenient "fig leaf" like you said, but in the end it just looks ridiculous. I think he'd be better off just not drawing anything between their legs. Even if they're male characters, I'd more readily accept a mannequin-esque physique than what they're looking like now.

I see your point that real animals don't have convent "fig leaf" pubes but then again they don't usually appear as bipedal sentient beings in webcomics so I also see your point that the artist needs some way to hide genitals and generally a waist high fence post isn't always the most in context thing to do and "puppet crotch" isn't a condition that he wants his male characters to have it makes sense that he will use it regardless of how strange it might look to some.

And I was just posting my thoughts and personal rationalizations of why some characters in 2kinds have a "pube-puff", I always wanted to start a discussion thread about other people's pubic hair (even if they are fictional) and this gave me the perfect chance to do so.

Dude... totally awkward wording there. XD

But yeah, I'ma bit confuzzled by inconsistencies in the so-called pube-puffs.

Longest run-on ever. Anyhow, this isn't the first time this topic's been brought up on the forum. Just the first time someone bothered making a thread about it. Of all the comments these tufts have drawn, I'm willing to wager 90% or more is negative criticism of some degree or another.

Anyhow, I disagree. See my last post for the reasons why.

So have I! What a coincidence!

And, yes, I agree with Fast. They're a bit pointless.

Meh. What happened to artistic license? I don't like to think of a comic as something that has to be perfectly consistent when it comes to this type of details.

And I must say, I prefer the style that has been up until now (although perhaps tone it down a *bit* to make it look more like real hair/fur.. Natani's amount of fuzz in the bathroom scene looks pretty natural) to barbie/ken doll crotches.

I'm not saying Tom can't do whatever he likes. He can have Natani sprout wings from her ears, dye her hair neon green and shave her tail if he really wants to. But if he does, readers are going to ask why he did it rather than leaver he as-is. It's called constructive criticism, which is meant to offer means of improvement from what's already there. If Tom didn't want reader response, he wouldn't have made a forum or an IRC room for the webcomic.

Personnatly, I like them. This puff give a little of style to the characters. This is kind like a mane (the main way to determine fastly the gender of a lion.) or maybe like the feathering around some horse hooves. And about the disposable razors, I think that this look more like the jobe of a pair of scissors. She simply trimmed it, it doesn't look like we see the skin under the fur (could be also licked down but I have my doubt about it.). Also, we have no idea of how many time pass between each incencitive. Depending of the person a beard can grow uncredibly fast. Finally, if you want totalk about unrealistic thing, start by lady Nora. Her body, break several logical law. Twokind is a fantasy comic with unrealistic thing like magic and dragons and I think that the crotch fur fit really well in this universe.

Ce n'est pas comme si cet élément détruit la qualité du dessin.

S.P.P.

Now it makes me laugh.

Wait! I've got it!. It's like wood. When female Keidran are receptive, they puff up a bit. It's like how breasts puff up during an orgasm. Genius. Thus, Natani is aroused by naked Keith, and Trace in the vote incentive just has morning wood. It explains everything. ∑:∂≤
