It's interesting to see that the Basitin guard are already noticing the effects of the tower on the Generals. I wonder what other "erratic" behaviors and orders they're thinking of specifically. You know, other than the statue. :D

I'm not so enthusiastic on the shot up the stairs at Keith...It really shows off his lady-like hips, which still strikes me as weird. Maybe it shouldn't...I guess I haven't been paying attention, maybe Basitins all have what we'd consider really wide hips and I've only noticed on Keith because he's the one who's most prominent in the comic...

I'm so glad Tom didn't make Alaric the way he is because of the towers. I think I would have cried.

I'm wondering what the tassel about the soldier's neck represents. Is it a mark of rank, or some special distinction? Like "Member of the Elite Guard" or "Veteran of the Eastern Gate Conflict?"

I would bet that it's a marker of rank, if only because they refer to Alaric by his first name, which I would think very unlikely from a low-ranked soldier unless they were an old friend like Keith.
