I had this idea a while back (which turned out to be shared by Insomniac), in which Trace Flora Keith and Natani (and some other random folken, the slave owner and kat to name a couple) are sent, from their world to our world. They would have to fend for themselves and find acceptance from the Earthers while trying to find a way back to their world. It would proabably happen sometime after they escape from the Bastian islands. Maybe a side effect of the magic tower being built there. Or maybe it would be something that Lady Nora initiates.
Either way, do you think that the idea is cool at all, let alone possible?
Check yes or no, leave your thoughts.

I'm still a bit skeptical, honestly.

Try and think about this rationaly what would the world think of a Flora's race? I doubt they would be very accepting. I don't think the world is ready yet.

Which is why it would be cool! All the awkwardness...
Oh! And a blind guy befriends them! That would rock.

Captian Trace: "Hold fire.... They might be here for diplomatic missions"
Lutienit Keith: "Captain, the Keidran war ships are dangerously close. If they opened fire now, they'd take us out in a second if we do not fire now."
Trace: "Cool it Lutient Keith we just gotta...."
Ensign Nat: "They're firing all weapons!"
Trace: "[Censsooorreedd]...."
BOOM!

A little off topic, but I just have to type this. It seems strange how if you talk to an individual person, you will see that they would be fully accepting of an alien race. But then if you talked to a crowd, they would be all paranoid. Individual people are rational and ready, but people as a group are just [censored]s. And yes, this was mentioned briefly in "Men in Black".

Oh, and that would be awesome for them to come to our world.

Mob mentality. If you're in a large enough crowd, you're terrified of individuality, because you're afraid of the rest of the mob turning on you. This is what makes public speaking so hard. :)

Psst...Don't look now, but there's a Yash right over our heads...

Dude, this is a friggin awesome idea. I'd love nothing more than to meet Keith in person, and to be a potential alternative over Trace for Flora

You know, there's a quote for that:

A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

The world would react.... poorly to the two non-human Twokinds races. I mean, look how big a fit the scientific community is throwing over the water and potential life on Mars. Now imagine TWO species of HUMANOID aliens suddenly arriving on EARTH ITSELF.

Things would not go well.

It would be terribly entertaining though

I'd have to admit, I'd probably freak if I saw a real furry... They probably wouldn't look as cutesy as they do drawn. They'd look more like animals, and I never know what animals are thinking(except for my own. It seems to be that when you have a connection with an animal, you understand what it's face is trying to say.. >_>)

Plus, don't most Keidran speak their own language? We'd have some naked half-animal, half human bipedal freaks speaking in tongue. I don't know very many people who wouldn't freak.

Unless, of course, they didn't give me a reason to be afraid. I'd probably always have that fear though. Like petting a domestic tiger. You know it wont hurt you, but you're still afraid inside.

In the story? Maybe not. In RL? I'd be there in 30 seconds with handcuffs, condoms, and a bag of icing.
