I'm curious. If Trace has the lifespan of a normal human, and Flora has one of only twenty-odd years (pending either get biffed off early), what's the lifespan of the kid going to be?

If it's typical human years, he's going to watch Mom die by the time he's ten-ish.

If he has a keidran lifespan, he watches Mom die and then Trace watches the kid die.

If he has something in the middle of both, he watches mom die and Trace will likely *still* watch him die.

Tom, you're setting us up for darkness and tragedy!! *fistshake*

I guess it would be a shortened Human span?

Doesn't this belong in the Comic Discussion board?

And that is interesting, I don't think I ever thought about it before.

Now, call avwolf, so that he may make a theory based on whatever he bases theories on. Because I'm too lazy.

I'm filing this thread as another piece of my growing collection evidence that having kids is always a bad thing, with no exceptions, ever.

Women. See what they do to normal, caring guys? Give them nothing but problems. If they don't try to give the guy problems, then they still manage to give him unintentional problems.

This is what I'm guessing is likely; it sounds most logical to me.

What if Trace is not the father what if there is some pre-stroy event at play?

*wacks with paper fan*

I have a normal caring guy and I don't give him problems!

Not the bad kind at least...

Impossible, Trace and Flora have known each other for about 6-7 months. Even if Keidran gestation is 9 months, she'd be showing definently.

The guy isn't always willing to tell you the problems =p (subliminal insecurity attempt).

I was just joking around, don't worry... Although I am single for a reason. So maybe I'm not entirely joking. Or am I? Maybe.

We're all drawing our theories.

@Graham: True, sometimes he doesn't tell, but I just ask and then he does. Unless it's something truely personal. Then I ask if it's my fault and he'll say yes or no or if it even involves me at all.

He and I actually talk about our problems. Surprising isn't it? ^_~

Come to think of it..how long has it been, in the story, since Trace and Flora slept together in the tent?

Keidran have a lifespan of approximately 20 years, so I would imagine that the gestation would take about one month. Unless if the child is indeed a hybrid, then it may be longer...maybe.
