For the first time since I began this comic back in 2003, I have finally finished the characters section, in as complete a form as is possible. There are still a few minor characters here and there that might need adding, but for the most part, all the important characters, roles, and parts are in there for your information gathering needs.

Watch out, there may be some spoilers for those of you who haven't read the entire comic yet. I tried to mark where the spoilers were, but it might be a good idea to read the comic first anyways. They're minor spoilers, but I really can't say if they'll ruin anything for you or not. I don't think they will, but you never know.

So, there you go. All the major characters, most minor characters, and even the villains are listed in a nice, complete page; including names, ages, classes, and in some cases, sexual orientations. Hope you enjoy it. Or don't, it's up to you. :) It's a lot of text, so I understand. But at least you have a place to go if you forget a character's name or what they did.

Thanks much, Tom, it's all terrific and much appreciated.

Some of the Natani bit's a small surprise. I might have been able to put together the Bi-stuff, it does make sense. Of course, that's only going to feed certain parts of the fanbase... (Shame there's really no other female characters in any position for that to be of use, right folks? ;)) I'm not surprised much by her illiteracy. It makes quite a bit of sense. I really appreciate the note about the mental link. It's also about what I figured, but I'm glad to have it filled in that it was an accident. That must have been a heck of an accident. :P

Laura's note about "events conspiring against them" is genius. Well done. Nothing given away, nothing confirmed. Well done, well done. :)

Eric also has some of the best commentary. "Expert" indeed! Although Mike's misfortune in life with that "black-magic wielding Basitin" rivals it.

Poor [database error]. I guess it's better than being named "DROP DATABASE `2kinds`" but not much. Parents these days... You'd think they hated their kids. :D

Alaric's position as "Ambiguous" is also perfectly played. You make me so proud, Tom. *grin* Also, I highly approve of running Trace as both hero and villain.

Terrific work this, though I must admit missing the color swatch set. Thanks again.

Ooh, Natani's file is particularly interesting... It really gives new meaning to 'gender confused'.

Tom's done a great job dodging questions and referencing all the jokes here. The part about [database error] is great! As well as the wordless portraits next to them... I've been waiting that group shot of the master Templars for so long...

Laura's being in the minor character section is a blow to KeithXLaura shippers everywhere... Sniff.

But on the whole, this is easily one of the best upgrades to the site in a long time. Lots of cool stuff to update the TwoKindsWiki with.

[edit] About the Basitin Isles. One of the previous comics refers to the Island as the Basidian Isles, so now I'm confused.

Natani's bisexuality is probably the result of both her thinking she's male, and thus must like women, and the merging of personalities with her brother.

...

Laura x Keith x Natani shippers, HO!

The portrait of Natani trying to cover her chest and the description of her personality is just priceless. :P

Hmm, I wonder how that accident happened. A spell that backfired or maybe the assassination of a templar that didn't go as smoothly as planed?

... Nice one Tom.
We can glean a lot form this, methinks.
So ALL of the Master Templar are villians, are they? Or are you just playing with our minds again?

Mike's Personality: He used to be perfectly satisfied with his lot in life, until the fateful day he came across a black-magic-wielding Basitin.
XDDDDD - Awesome...

In conjunction with Evals' picture, it's just priceless...

I agree that Natani's bisexuality is most likely due to the fact that her brother's personality (and presumably, his maleness) has "overpowered her own." Due to recent events with Keith, though, we can see that her female side is slowly resurfacing again :)
I wonder if she would be freed from the influence of his personality if he were killed?

Also, if Natani is 14, then Zen must be getting up in years. He doesn't physically look old to me (as Laura does), but he was presented as Natani's elder brother so he must be at least 15, if not older...

The new page certainly gives us lots of insight, and plenty of subtleties to keep us guessing. Very well played, Tom ^_^

*Edit* Hmm...Natani's age has been changed to 13. I wonder if Zen is 14, then...?

We still don't know how long is a keidran pregnancy. Zen could be 14 too but born sooner in the year. Remember, when you life only 20 year before die of old age, stay nine month pregnant seem a little too much considerating that many of this childs will not survive. Before modern medecine unborn childs and also childhood death was really common. By example, Marie-Thérèse d'Autriche wife of Louis XIV give born to six baby and only one survive to childhood. If you considerate that they not always had the magic knowledge to subtitude modern medecine, they should have a way to make a lot of kid during fertile years. Either short pregnancy or big litter.

Il ne faut pas surestimer l'age de Zen.

S.P.P.

I always figured it was something of an island chain (though personally I always call it, probably inappropriately, the Basitin Archipelago). It certainly looks like there's more than one island there. I would believe that the mainstay of Basitin civilization is probably on the large island, but their territory covers the outlying islands as well. Think of them like the Japanese, maybe. And besides, there's still three possible compass points of the race unaccounted for; they're bound to live somewhere around there.

Awesome!

raises new questions about the master templars though....

I have a question... in each of the cases of non-human species it gives a geographical location to which they are associated *eastern basitins* or *costal fox clan*

does this mean that there are other societies of basitins and kiedran? and do they each live under different rules from the other?

hmmm.

I don't think the guy above Alaric is suppose to be named:

[database error]
Gender: Male
Current Age: 25
Class: Local Militia
Species: Human

Personality: [database error] is a bit of a musclehead. He tries his best to solve all his blablabla.

[database error] was one of Trace's friends from the Templar blablabla.

:P

Here's how it works:

For Basitins, it's rather simple. There are Eastern Basitins - which are the ones you've seen so far - and there are Western Basitins, which haven't appeared in the comic. The East and West Basitins are in a constant state of war, and have been for centuries. This is why they're such a powerful warrior race. They never stop fighting, and they don't want to stop fighting. They enjoy their constant war so much, that if one side is losing too much ground, the other will let up and allow them to build their forces again so that it may continue. The two Basitin sides only fight together when something threatens them as a whole; and you don't want to have to face the entire Basitin race in a fight.

The Keidran are more complicated. Keidran are broken up into clans, which consists of their various species. For example: Dog clan, Tiger clan, and Wolf clan. They are further broken up into tribes contained in that clan, usually named after the geographic location of the tribe. For example: Swamp Tiger Tribe, Rainforest Tiger Tribe, Coastal Tiger Tribe.

So, if you're a Wolf, you belong to the Wolf Clan. Then, if you live in the northern forest, your tribe is probably referred to as the "Northern Forest Wolf Tribe." Keidran do not usually have last names because Keidran children are typically raised by the tribe as a whole, rather then a family unit. So, Keidran are identified by their Tribe instead.

In short: Clan > Tribe > Individual.
