This topic is to explain to other people who you would be if you were a character in twokinds. DO NOT USE A ALREADY EXISTING CHARACTER(no keith's, flora's, etc.).

Here's my guy, and no, Micheal is not my real name.

Name:Micheal
Race:Human
Sex:Male
Hair color:brown
eye color: green-blue
Weapon: a jo (four-foot staff)
Skills: moderate fighting skills, immense magical power (equal to that of a master templar without any nearby towers), does not need to use stored mana, magically enhanced healing when he has the required mana.
Weaknesses: cannot use stored mana, cannot drain mana from the land, very squeamish and cannot stand the sight of blood, especially his own.
Apperance: fairly normal, has messy hair.
Backstory:Born in orchard valley, he learned fighting from a Basitin and trained himself in magic. He left to try to make the rest of the world a better place by easing human/keidran relations. He quickly realized that the templars stand in the way of all negotiations and changed his approach.
Misson :
1. Stop the coming human/keidran war, even if it means slaughtering both sides.
2. End the slavery of the keidran by humans.
3. Stop all people who would incite conflict between the races.

Note: Micheal's body is able to store large amounts of mana that he subconsciously drains from the surrounding area. He can not speed up this rate and must wait to regain mana after fights by resting, making him at a disadvantage in prolonged battles. Usually his enemies underestimate his capabilities because he lacks formal training. He cannot absorb mana from drained areas.

Mephet'ran. Similarly, Mea's "Fight Arena" character will do in a pinch.

Wait, do you mean someone NOT horrendously broken / storyline changing?

No luck there, I'm afraid. The choices for going to TwoKinds are simple:

1) Be a 'nobody'. Don't muck with the story. You'll get no where important in your life, but you'll keep the Space-Time Continuum intact. If you are addicted to modern tech, this option is a no-go, as it means you're effectively stuck with Renaissance tech for the rest of your life.

Of course, this is also the only option that allows you to work your way to Lichedom (Provided it exists in TwoKinds).

2) Don't go. This is the simplest of options. You don't go. Many people will likely, after a long thought, consideration of family / friends, etc, consider this.

3) Muck with the Time continuum. Sure, it won't be something major (I once complimented Flora while she was a Slave!), but it may lead to major changes down the road. Most likely, anyone attempting to do option 1 will inadvertantly trigger option 3 at some point in their visit.

4) Forget about the universe and have a field day. There was no real 'limit' to who you could be. If you wanted, you could run around as an Omnipotent there and turn everyone's left pinky toe into a snake while one in every three people is born with a cup of pudding in their hands. As to be expected, this option appeals to me the most.

EDIT: Also, I believe this fall under the ranting board. Similarly, you may want to put a 'limit' so that options three and four aren't chosen so readily.

You guys really don't want me to do this...

Name: Toki Cesteal
Species: Eastern Basitin
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Birthplace: Basidian Islands
Height: 5'3''
Weight: Anywhere between 95 and 110
Abilities and aptitude: Cooking, Cleaning, Caregiver.. the usual Basitin female duties, along with some general combat and survival skills her Father just so happened to 'slip' and teach her.
Hobbies and talents: Singing and Dancing.
Weaknesses: Chilvary.
Appearance: Green eyes, the usual Basidian gray fur, with a bit of brown on her side, slim, but well proportioned, generally wears Basidian female attire. Long skirts, almost long sleeve shirts, in brown tones. Hates it. A lot. Hair matches her fur, but with white and brown tips.
Items & weapons: Just her fists. Can use a sword.
Personality details: Mood changes a lot, as with most females, but generally defends what she thinks is right, and will fight to the end to protect her friends.
Historical biography: Born and raised in the Basidian Islands, Toki learned what every Basitian female should learn. At age 13, became very bored with all she knew and insisted she wanted to see the world, and be free to do as she pleased. Thinks the law is too uptight and 'needs to pull the pole out of their arses'.
Greatest friend(s): Lives with her Father.
Other friend(s): None
Rival(s): Her Father?
Enemy(s): Anyone who mistreats her.
Likes: Helping others, creating, and learning new things.
Dislikes: A lot of things.
Favorite food(s): Cookies.
Favorite color(s): Anything but brown... she's tired of that color.
Occupation: Do Basitian women work? ._.

Yes, you should avoid Deus Ex Machinas. As a general rule of thumb, your character is overpowered if they can beat The Templar easily or quickly. All characters should be born and raised in the Twokinds universe.

Oh wow this is easy...In fact I've got a char that'd fit right into the world...though his age would have to drop. but meh i was gonna adapt him anyway to do some rp'ing so might as well put him here too...

Name-Helios Esperada (he has no tribe name because he technically wasn't born into one thus instead the human tradition of a surname was used)
Species-Tiger Keidran(and possibly part human)
Gender-Male
Age-13
Height-6'5
Weight-215(Mostly muscle)
Abilities-Helios specializes in nature based magics. He can manipulate plants, and the earth itself through magic. An ability he often uses to enhance his incredible natural physical strength. Usually in the form of earth armor though he is capable of many other manipulations. He is one of the few Keidran who could prolong his life through magical means though he doesn't yet know it.
Weapon-A Large Battle Axe.

Appearance- Intimidatingly tall and muscular Helios' ever present Rock armor is actually made of a combination of Crystal and rock. At night the crystal tends to glow on it's own creating light but making it impossible to for him to be stealthy like most other Keidran. His hair is another unusual bit, unlike most Keidran Helios' has long black hair instead of a mane or only having fur. besides that though he appears as one would expect a tiger keidran to look. Striped, mostly orange with a white fur patten on his chest. It should also be noted Helios' fur is shorter than normal. He wears a fang necklace around his neck which was a gift and has a few tribal tattoo's marking victorious battles. (5wins=1 tattoo)

History- The place Helios was born was called freedom(in keidran of course) it was a place where escaped Keidran went after escaping their human masters. Nestled right in the middle of human lands it was perfect. No humans ever went looking for Keidran in their own lands after all.

Helios' never knew his true parents his mother died giving birth to him shortly after arriving in the small village and there hadn't been anyone else with them. It was assumed either she'd been the victim of a human who decided his toy was no good to him once it got pregnant. Or the father simply didn't make it. Either way Helios was raised by 'the village' not any particular parents but rather with a little bit of everyones help.

By the time he was 8 Helios understood magic and that his particular ability was unique as no one could seem to teach him much about the particular ability simply how to channel it. It's use however was left entirely up to him. It was while he was still learning magic that his home was discovered. Humans came in large numbers led by templar burning, killing, and capturing everyone and everything he'd ever known. Terrified he hid, his powers reflexively protected him hiding him from the humans by sinking him into the ground where he fell through to a underground cavern.

Later he would resurface to find his ruined home. Nothing was left behind but the dead and piles of rubble. The flame of hatred had been lit in him that day, a hatred of templar and humans in general.

Listening in on human conversations, and gathering what information he could from other Keidran he learned of the grand templar who was likely responsible for dispatching those templar to destroy his home. His mission became clear. To find a way to kill the grand templar, Only problem was no one would tell him WHO the grand templar was and then as if having been waiting for the moment someone in a shadowy cloak told him to seek out Trace Legacy to find his answers.

Personality- Helios hates humans. It's possible he could tolerate them if he ever put up with one long enough to get to know them. But with the current state of things that seems unlikely. He's quiet, thoughtful, and observant. He prefers the "why go around an obstacle if I can break it in two?" way of thinking. He's also honorable and if his word is given he will keep it....however that only applies if he actually says "You have my word." otherwise who knows what he'll do? He likes strong women(with little regard for species) and does not forgive betrayal.

Oh interesting fact no one ever found out about him- He's afraid of heights....and being off solid ground in general. a boat ride would probably have him tossing his cookies the whole trip. He has a slight fear of water because he can't swim with his armor on.(I.E. he'd literally sink like a stone)

....think that covers everything. Oh and...Yes Helios is original and belongs completely to me. surprisingly I didn't have to change a whole lot about his story to fit him in the twokinds world....go figure. Why isn't there a strong Keidran in the comic anyway? o.O everyone else seems to have a badass somewhere.
