When I saw that, I thought it was just another news update, then I saw the dates and I was stunned.... I thought he was getting better....

I know I haven't been here long, and I don't know you, Tom, nor did I know your father, but I'm really sorry to hear of this. That's awful.... :cry:

My condolences. My father has been gone five years now, and I still find myself trying to mentally note things to talk to him about. It's not easy.

Oh my God, it had been such a long road for him. I can remember as long as I have read this comic Tom commenting about this, and how they thought he was getting better.

Seems so unexpected. My sincerest apologies to you and your family, and the hope for a better future.

Oh god, this is horrible! My condolences to you, even though I can't really imagine how you must feel in such a situation.

I think we would all understand if you take a break from the comic now.

From what we've heard on our end, it's been a long and arduous battle. So is the way of cancer, often the treatments prove more debilitating than the illness, a close friend followed a very similar path. Though your father's passing as of now may be difficult - if not impossible - to grasp, in time you will realize it was for the best; for him the suffering is over.

Deepest of condolences...
