Ok, i dont think basitans are meant to use magic but with maybe the tower, they can... The energy used to use magic might come from the tower but the magic is like poisen to them, if they overuse it or do a spell too big, he or she dies. The strain of the output of magic can be fatal to them. That's what i think...

any other ideas about basitan magic?

Here is a curious question for someone to answer. How exactly did the Master Architect convince the Basitan to let them build a tower?

Step One: Find a Baistan General
Step Two: ???
Step Three: Tower!

Hm... I think it's flat

One: Convince Basitan not having magic is a disadvantage, and to build a tower.
Two: ???
Three: Apocalypse!

For the Baistan. For the humans, everything is perfectly fine.

Maybe... But then, a load of mentally-addled military leaders (Assuming a fairly small, palace-size proxemity effect for the tower) in charge of an entire race could be a little more dangerous than the Templar imagine... And woe betide humanity if they break free...

Maybe that's their plan then.

Depends completely on the circumstances.

Baistan's have the smallest military (And total population) in TwoKinds compared to the other major races at the moment (Note: Speculation. Tom could easily correct me and prove me 100% wrong. However, I will admit Baistan probably have the highest Population percentage as warriors).

They would need Slaves in many higher-up's households to make a major difference (Since armor and weapons would likely be no higher than human grade if they were used as slaves). Otherwise, it would be simply riots to be put down.

The Humans are currently the greatest threat to the Kiedren and Baistan at the moment (It would seem), if the Towers affect both species. Even if not, humans tend to have more time to cram into training soldiers (Though considering Baistan lifespans so closely rival humans, it'll make little difference facing them), a Magical Edge that none of the other races can counter (Baistan have no magic whatsoever [Again, Tom can feel free to correct me], and Kiedren rely on Mana stones).

Of course, Humanity is also its worst enemy. Without a sufficient cause to rally themselves, infighting is an inevitability. Feth, with the rivalry inside species held by Kiedren and Humans, Baistan are the most 'rallied' nation there currently is.

In the total of TwoKinds story, Kiedran are nearly a non-factor in a major war. Baistan have a fortress-island to claim as their own, making any attempts at siege costly for the attackers. Humans have strings of fortifications (Again, Tom, feel free to correct me), a large number of castles, etc. Kiedran are... mostly a hit-and-run force. They seem to lack the muscle to be an equal match to a Human / Baistan (In terms of Strongest v Strongest), have much less time to train a military, seemingly more frail than the other races (Especially when compared to Baistan), seem to lack any real form of armor (Humans and Kiedran have guys in plate, and I don't think a Kiedran has been seen in anything heavier than Leather or Hide).

Personnatly, the fact that they can use the tower seem imply that they were created with the possibillity to do magic but not enough raw power to produce any spell. I think remember that human can store large amount of mana inside them so they use the tower to recharge them as soon they drain all their magic. Keidran put their mana in their mana crystal and probably the basitians have barely no capacity to hold mana so they have to be plugged to the tower to be able to cast because they don't have enough storage inside them to even cast the easiest spell. Of courswe, the templars have a idea to backstab the basitians once they defeated the Keidrans.

Ils ne nous reste qu'à trouver c'est quoi.

S.P.P.

Makes sense enough. I'm just judging by Basitan's portrayal as ultra-organized 'Sparta' style sorts... They'd seem to be easy candidates for 'best army on the planet'.

Well, you know what happens when you play God...or whatever divine being exists in TwoKinds-land...

...You turn into a hideous fly creature...at least that's what Jeff Goldblum taught me :P...
