Hey, all. I'm catching up with the archive in Yosh, and I came across this comic. I don't recall seeing it when I was going through the TK archives, but I don't know why. It looks like it could have been one of Tom's earlier works, as far as I can see. Not his earliest, better than that, but not to his current level of quality, of course.

Well, I just started catching through it recently. A very interesting comic, I must say. btw, am I correct in believing that this comic is based off the way you would like your life to be (going off Phillip in the first strip)?

And what is with that penguin?

The comic is not based on how I would like my life to be. It's based on a story that, like most writers, focuses strongly on what I know rather than something I know little about.

And the penguin is a very important character.

"A writer should strive to take an good idea and wrap it around something they know alot about, but wrap it in something they know little about. This promotes expansion of knowledge."
~ my writing mentor

but that's alot of work ^_^ and writters tend to have lazy streaks when it comes to research.

I gathered from how often he has been in and how much he has done. But why does he want to kill Phil? Phil is cool!

Maybe he wants to kill him to prove a theory? And why is Phil cool? Has he ever done anything "cool"?

He survived a blast of fire, he has Kate for a girlfriend, and you could make him a stunt double and not have to worry about him dying.
