Woot! Go Keith! :D

Looks like he won! It seems that knocking the hat of the challenger means you win. Hence the yellow streak.

Not quite. We haven't established that the strike produced a KO.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how to use what few strengths you have available to surprise your opponent into a moment of weakness. Of course, getting beaten by a blindfolded opponent would have been pretty embarrassing. Maybe less so if the guy's actually blind. Though you've got to give the Basitins some serious respect if their blind guards are that effective.

--Update---
Waitaminute....Now most of the fight could be handled by a purely blind fighter, but the "arms wide open" realization? You'd have to see that to know it was happening. <frown> Somebody's got second sight, eh?

It doesn't appear that Keith scored an actual 'hit'. It seems the guard rebounded and caused his own helmet to fall off. At least, that's what I gather from the motion lines.

Hmm - That the other Basitin was blindfolded is a very interesting aspect to this. I had been wondering about those helmets - they didn't seem to offer much visibility.

Perhaps the Basitin have the same issues as the Spartans did - very strong soldiers, but too few and/or too orthodox to adapt to new ideas or fighting styles.

By the way Tom - I really like how his tail goes behind one panel and in front of another. Really neat! :D

Very nice Keith! tricky i like that, making the guard think he was wide open then dodging an easy strike and hitting back. though the blind fold does beg the question: How in the world is that guard so good?!?!? but now the hard-to-see-out-of slits in the guards' helmets make sense...

i wonder if Natani will notice her home fighting style being used

Woot for Keith =D

But yeah, how did he know Kieths arms were open? He fights like Riku in KH2 , and Riku could see, so that means... This Bastin is a Heartless D=. lol, but i am interested in the next page, is the fight over, will keith be supprised about the blind fold, will Trace show up with a key blade, and why do i keep making KH refferances?

Only time will tell.....

It's true that the fact he was able to see he was arms wide open...I can only explain the fact with 2 possibilities (there may be more but it's the only two that I found)

1. Maybe the "Grr-ahh!" is a warcry for that stance (that possibility is the less *arg...can't find the right word* ...realistic :? )
2. In some other comics (or anime) that I see, blind warriors often sense the opponent stance and actions

When someone goes blind, their other senses become stronger. Thus, he probably easily heard the flapping of Kieth's cloak/cape when he spread his arms.

i think that you're jumping in with the blind thing a bit to fast, he might only have one eye bandaged. and the other side is open... we'll see how this turns out.

another thought, what if its see through while close up, but from a distance looks opaque, to throw people off.

...or he's blind :D

I'd say he might have slits through which to look, reducing glare.
