Well, seems like Natani was able to get some help from another Basitin so she is not helpless in this place. Seems that Basitins are friendly (Or the few that we have seen.) to Keidran and want to help them. (As long as they follow the laws I believe.) Seems that they are a military group since the other Basitin said it is normal to challenge others. So who do you think will win the fight, Keith or the unname guard? I go with Keith because it looks like when he takes the defensive, he has the advantage. Also, welcome back Tom and hope your father is better. And yay for first to post! (This is the first time I started a topic, hope it was a good start.)

Wow! Amazing fight scene. I like it a lot - the improvement since other fights really shows. Nice job Tom, hope your dad's in better shape.

This also shows a realistic element of a militaristic society - they incorporate fighting into day-to-day routines.

Of course Keith'll win. Otherwise he can't go wherever he's going. :)

That helpful Basitin looks really eager and excited. AND those are female eyelashes. Have our base assumptions been incorrect? Anyhow, this should prove interesting. Time to fight dirty, Keith! Kick 'im in the knee!

This one is interesting, still feel bad for Natani, she's still totally lost. Though it was good that...I think that's a female basitin...was there to help explain somewhat. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Pfft, of course Keith will win (or maybe he won't, don't quote me on that); he's the hero and he's going to be symbolic of the underdogs rising up to challenge the oppression of the people! Or something like that, *shrug*

Ahaha...Natani has no clue what's going on...it's a good thing that Basitin was standing there, or he might've just jumped in and started taking blows at the other guys and gotten them kicked off the island.

Also, it appears that the weird visors on those helmets that it looks like you can't see out of lift up. Or maybe that's a different helmet entirely, who knows.

*sighs, looks at few hours of computer battery left, and curses Dell* I got the "your warranty has now expired" notice two days before the power adapter randomly stopped working and I have papers to write, so many papers to write....

This is deffinatly a higher quality that the last few fights, its nice to see such drastic improvements. Wonder who the comic is going to switch to next.... I think Mike is due for a page :wink:

And sorry to hear about your Battery Verilidaine, ive had that problem on my laptop too >.<. Though adapters are pretty cheap, so i wouldent worry too much.

Thanks...but, heh, you haven't been looking at Dell's adapters lately...the one that I am in want of is $70 :shock: My poor, poor college-student bank account is convulsing in horror.

(thankfully, the same one can be found new on eBay for about $30 :D)

My guess is that all male have at least a basic military training while it's optionnal for the female. They can take a military job, it's just less common. It's a little like in our day where both sex can become soldier both that the majority of the soldiers are male.

Seem like even if they don't like a lot the keidran, they learn their language. Maybe it's more for a military reason. When you know an ennemy language (or potential ennemy) this give you a edge if the other nation don't have th same. You can spy, interrogate prisonners, read ennemy written order and several other little thing and seem minor but can make the difference in a battle. If the other nation don't have many person that can do that, the time to find a linguist, the information can be no longer useful.

Ouais, particulièrement parce qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup des autres qui parlent leur langue, mais les Basitins (ou juste Keith) savent tout des trois langues.
