Oh, oh, pregnant Flora alert! :D

well, trace is isnt gonna be happy when he finds out, his first reaction will be to ditch her for being unfaithful to him...and whats worse, everyones gonna be on his side.

Woo Hooo!!! Pregnant Flora!

Her pregnancy is confirmed... hmm, in a few months her breasts become bigger. Yay! :D

I can see a way she might be able to handle it. She should start dropping comments about her sex life, to get across the idea that she hasn't touched a male keidran since she met Trace. Something like "Hey, it's been so long since I've had sex with a keidran that I don't quite remember what it's like. <grin type="playful">Maybe I should try it, to see if it's better than with you.</grin>

She could add that she might have to wait a while, since the Basitin Islands probably don't have any keidran of either sex, and Natani isn't available since "he" is obviously partnered with Keith. (Saying this within earshot of Natani and Keith would be good for several scenes, as they try to deny it.)

Maybe Trace could notice her swollen belly and comment that she looks pregnant, and she can say that it's not possible because she hasn't had sex with a keidran, just with him.

After enough of these hints, Trace would be softened up for the kill: "Hey, Trace; there's something I can't figure out. I haven't had sex with anyone but you for months and months, but I'm starting to think that I'm pregnant. It's gotta be yours, but I didn't think that was possible."

Nah; Tom would never let them handle it in such a way. There's gotta be a big "You've been unfaithful" scene, and a near breakup. It should be something from the left wing that convinces Trace. Maybe Ephemural or another Mask will make an appearance, explaining what has been done to them, and maybe trying some more chaotic interference. Or maybe this is one of the things that Lady Nora is here to help with, since she knows the truth directly from Flora's mind (and might know a lot about what the Masks have been up to).

And Natani will start having fantasies of Keith's child, with her traitorous tail wagging wildly ...

Yeah, it should be interesting when Flora tries to talk to Trace. He has no reason to believe her, and she'll be confused as hell anyway. Keith has always been the one that puts Trace on the right path - albiet sometimes more of a shove than a gentle push in the right direction - so wild guesses:

Keith will trust Flora, Flora will be crying and confused, Trace will feel betrayed, Natani will be jealous (Some Keith action, perhaps? Bow chicka bow wow!), and Eric will be like WTF? Oh noes! Kat will be thinking that perhaps something between her and Eric could work out.

Might Lady Nora have had a hand in this turn of events? :3

My only question is how will Flora react when if/when she finds out that she might be pregnant? Will she be scared of what might happen to her/Trace? Or will she be happy and hope that Trace doesn't get angry and blow the place up?

It would be nice if Flora and Trace could sit down, talk it out, and Trace would see that the child, in spite of all knowledge to the contrary, must be his.

And I'm using nice in it's lesser-known meaning of 'boring'. No drama, no entertainment people, that's why Trace and Flora have misunderstandings, and why Natani isn't going to suddenly embrace her femininity and jump in the sack with Keith. It's all about the tension.

Random fact: finding plumpness attractive is a very old instinct, from the days when winter meant poor hunting and little opportunity for gathering. A well-layered partner was one that would survive until spring.

This just in: OMG I DUNNO IF YOU GUYS NOTICED THIS BUT I THINK FLORA MIGHT BE PREGNANT.

If she does turn out to have just been seasick, hungry and plump... mass facefault, anyone?

just thought of something, flashback to kieths talk of laura being unfaithful, and then telling trace all keidran are, this might also re-awaken that mentality in keith, so bad news for nat as well, dont know what you got till its gone etc.

Now THAT I agree with. Heheh. And I think all talk of "Flora isn't pregnant" lost almost all basis after this.

Actually, enabling a primate x carnivore hybrid is a sufficiently complex technical task, even if you're an expert in magic, that it probably took Ephemural a day or more to set it up. So it may have been a couple days before the pregnancy actually happened.

And that somewhat ambiguous last frame is probably about as close as we'll get to see Trace and Flora actually engaging in sex. Tom has told us that twokinds isn't going to be X-rated.
