Finally, it's here!

Luckily Lady Nora talked Trace into bed. I was fearing there were more terribly dramatic events coming up, but it looks like everything's okay for now.

Well that answers the question if Trace heard it. Trace now thinks he called himself an idiot in the third person.

Well, looks like Flora's is a little turned/ticked off though. Okay, second perverted ladie/girl I've ever met in my life is now Nora (note: Both of them in a comic).

"Hm. Oh, change your mind, Trace?" It could be both a surprised or a sarcastic comment. Too bad her facial expression doesn't really indicate which one it is.

Yay Nora!!!

I do wonder how old she is. Don't dragons usually live for centuries? And she didn't seem exactly out of steam when she handled that Templar kitty back before they set sail.

I wouldn't exactly call her perverted. After all, she reads minds and can inject thoughts. She's just persuading Trace to do what's right at the moment. Lady Nora does seem to be pushing this unlikely pairing, and it's obviously important to the story that Trace and Flora form a solid pair.

Anyway, Nora doesn't really need to watch them. Even on the other side of the wall, she would hear their minds, which is where the fun part of sex really happens. Watching them is a feeble experience to what it must be like to be listening in on both minds. And for a dragon like her, this wouldn't qualify as "perverted", because she probably hears the mating of all small creatures on the ground under her whether she wants to or not. It's just part of her normal world to hear the minds of every living thing nearby. Her world has to be very noisy. But this would give her a deep sympathy for all the lesser creatures in her world.

Actually, what might be important here is that Nora can subtly guide Trace as he relearns his past and his control of magic. He's no longer a Templar; he's a dragon's apprentice.

And if Nora feels no longer young and full of energy, well, she deserves a bit of entertainment by the lesser creatures that she's helping.

The moral: "No day but today." ;)

(Hurray for RENT song references. Got 'em stuck in my head.)

So Lady Nora was for sure mind-speak to him? And he heard it and didn't think it was weird? If my brain started talking to itself, I'd be freaked out...

Yay for Lady Nora! :)

I like how she handled that. Quietly. Subtlely. It's a good use of telepathy and guidance that does not involve mental domination.

As for her final comment of 'Ah, to be young and full of energy', I would say that's just an old-timer's lament even if the old-timer is full of energy.

If my brain stopped talking to itself, I'd be worried. I get difference voices arguing the different sides of an issue all the time, in my head.

Oh no! Telepathic kitties are stalking me! *giggles madly*

Yes, very "Fountain"-y. May just be me, though.

I think her expression would be much more dull if she was trying to be sarcastic. But then again sarcasm is easily misunderstood.

Anyway, I just hope Trace doesn't find out about Nora. Would be kinda awkward.

Trace: Wait, so that cat, that was you?
Nora: Yup
Trace: So you were on that shelf when Flora and I were... uh...
Nora: Uhm... uh...

Earlier events piqued Lady Nora's curiosity, and now she wants a show.

What is Lady Nora up to? She was hired by the (new) Grand Templar, we know that much. So she's either still doing whatever she was hired for, or after discovering her old pal Trace was involved is helping him. Or she's just entertaining herself by following along, watching the chaos that seems to follow in Trace's wake, with no motive other than her own amusement.

Insert quote about dragons lifted from Tolkien here.

Good grief! How many perverts can one ship hold?? Natani's in heat, Eric's.... Eric, Kat looks at R-rated images of other keidran to "read," and Lady Nora's a voyeur. I guess Kieth is the only one with enough will power on board to keep it in his pants.

I started laughing insanely when I read this.

Oh, Nora... you just wanted to listen in/watch it, didn't you? Naughty kitten.

But now I'm wondering: how many of agree with Lady Nora and want to see stuff happening too? Raise hands.

*raise*

No, it would be more like:

Trace: So you were on that shelf when Flora and I were... uh...
Nora: It doesn't matter. I'd hear your minds if I were in another room.
Trace: So you've been listening in every time we ...
Nora: Hey, your lovemaking is mentally so loud that I'd hear you clearly if I were flying a mile above the ship. And don't get me started about Eric and Kathrin, not to mention that pair of slaves that think nobody knows about them. But you're all very entertaining to an old lady like me. And don't worry; I've heard it all ten thousand times. Just enjoy each other; that's all that matters.

Can't imagine that this might make Trace feel inhibited ...

Trace knows where Nora is...
He likes it when she watches...
Just like old times...

On a serious note what is an 'R' rating? I hear it all the time but don't know what it is. :?:
