I am so happy the store is finally open. Now, as soon as I get some discressionary income (i.e. my tax return...>.<) I'll be spending lots of money.

In the meantime, though, I had a crazy moneyraising thought for Tom. What if Tom did the same fundraising incentives that the guy who does Flipside uses? Basically, on Flipside, for every $100 dollars donated, he does a bonus comic. Personally, I think it'd make Tom some money. Just a thought, and maybe it'd be a step towards Twokinds being a dayjob.

The fund raising idea is pretty good, but I don't think Tom can handle Twokinds, fanmail, forum, IRC chat, collage, etc. at the same time.

I always thought that he was kinda greedy asking for 100 dollars per page...I mean...I like flipside but I've never given a dollar to that fundraiser... I think (if the shirts sell well) should take a poll or something for a shirts that have popular designs on them or something (because to be honest) I didnt' like the shirts with just the little twokinds logo on the right. << Just an idea, I mean, I'm sure some people could give him some great ideas and he might even get alot of money for it (give people what they want you see) But thats just my idea...

I'm not sure about the shirt idea.......It could replenish his school fund. On the other hand, doing extra art would rocket his school fund as well as his other funds (TwoKinds web fund), but then he would have to deal with tons of extra art as well as the original weekly TwoKinds........Guys, any ideas?

I think a bonus comic for donations would be a great idea. Maybe his hosting costs rounded up to the nearest multiple of 25 or 50 dollars would be around enough, get him a bit of pocket money in addition to covering webhosting costs.

But hey, it's all up to Tom. =3 Krn Pride!

I like that idea, I would donate a few dollars (weak home currency) for the cause. Allthough Tom is quite busy, so I wonder If he'll have the time for a bonus comic? (assumimg he like the idea)

If I were asking $100 for a bonus comic, I'd /find/ time.

Hehehe, kidding, but regardless of what we think is too much, Tom sounds like he needs money, and honestly, it really does work for Flipside, if the ammount of bonus comics he makes is any indication.

Actually I think the problem is that 100 Dollars is a bit much
Anyway, Tom has to agree first

One hundred dollars is a lot- for one person to donate- but Tom has thousands of fans- well over 500 of them could each donate a single dollar- thats 500 dollars-- so is 100 all that much? And most people that donate donate in the 5-10 dollar range-- so if 100 fans donated 10 dollars each thats 1,000 dollars--- 100 fans donate 5 dollars each equals 500 dollars and so on-- Webcomic artist dont rely on one or two large donations- they rely on many small donations and Ad space- 15 dollars for a week of add space = over 60 dollars a month. Thats not from one person usually.

It's all pretty simple-- so 100 dollars isnt all that much, which is Why FlipSide has no problem with making extra bonus comics...

Money is often a problem for people, not just artists. I'm assuming he already does some form of comission work for art?

Well? Tom? Hello??? -waves his hand- Tom? Hello? Earth the Tom? Well, since Tom is still dealing with art, I guess we'll just have to wait.......or do we?

I say its a good idea. With the fans and all you will get at least 50 bucks. If you would do something for the people that donate like a little sign that says something with one of the characters like you do with the holidays. It dont have to be personalized for everyone just u know, something nice for giving a doller or two to help Two Kinds.
